Future Directions and conclusion Most scientist are trying to unveil a new method to harvest energy from WiFi after facing so many difficulties. In what application(s) can this method can be used? For our information, WiFi exhibit radio waves, and radio waves only provide a small amount of energy, so it is very hard to achieve a high enough level of effiency. In any transmissions, it is only natural that some energy is received and used and others are lost in the process. The energy that is not received goes to waste. Since WiFi only exhibit only a small amount of energy in radio wave form, then it can be used to power very small low energy devices such as hand watch. The fact that the cities in Malaysia is going to be a city that has wireless connection everywhere has to be recognized and admitteed by everyone. So no matter here we go, we will receive energy from WiFi. The energy that is received would not going to be in waste. Even if it is only nanowatts of energy, but the energy is everywhere and if scientist can invent a device or revise a method to contain this small energy in an appropriate battery, I sure it will be very useful to human in conserving energy. For instance, the energy that has been harvested from WiFi can be feed to many energy storage such as battery or in the future maybe we can feed to super-capacitor to be used in most electronic devices. In order to harvest energy from WiFi, scientist needs to design a harvester receiver that is connected to a seven-stage multiplier circuit. The functions of the multiplier circuits are to rectify and boost the harvested energy from a lower voltage to a higher voltage level and then stored temporarily in a super capacitor. To increase the output voltage, a DC-DC boost-charger circuit wth battery management need to be used. To start the boost-charger circuit charging the secondary storage devices, minimal threshold are needed by charging the first stage super capacitor. Engineer also need to think and figure out how to capture energy waves from WiFi signals and convert them to electric current by using a device that is composed of metamaterials that are synthetically engineered to manipulate electromagnetic waves. A device that is designed from metal loop that intercepts any electromagnetic waves and by using some specific circuits, it will convert the alternating current to direct current which can be used to power up an electronic device. If scientist can transfom light energy into electricity just like in solar panel, then it would not be impossible to convert any wave of energy to electrical energy by using metamaterials. The concept is the further we are from the WiFi signal source , the less power we will receive and the closer we are the more power you will receive. Have we even wondering or dreaming that if one day we won t have to charge our mobile phone anymore(without connecting to any cables)? Even though using we are going out to the city, and we forget to bring any charger we still can recharge our mobile phone s batery if we can harvest energy from WiFi. Even while we are walking inside a mall. Wherever there is WiFi, there will be energy and we can charge our devices everywhere. It is very convenience for us!
