What is a BMI?

BMI stands for ‘Body Mass Index’. It is a way for people to be scientifically certified as a weight group. You can be either underweight, average, overweight or obese. Either way, it means that you can be easily grouped.

BMI is calculated by using this equation:

Weight in KG / Height in Metres²

Calories are a unit of energy that burn to produce heat and energy in your body

On average, men need 2500 calories, and women need 2000

Food & Exercise

To maintain a healthy diet, you have to include foods from the 5 groups into your meals: Fruits and vegetables, Bread, Milk, Fats, Meat and Fish.

In addition to these 5 necessary factors, we all need to eat at least 5 fruit and vegetables every day
