The Institute
G H R C E is an Autonomous Institute affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj, Nagpur University, Nagpur. We feel proud to inform you that GHRCE has been assessed by National Assessment & Accreditations Council (NAAC) and graded the college with “A” Grade. Various courses run by the college are duly accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE. The Institute is the proud recipient of World Bank Project known under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program(TEQIP-I &TEQIP-II). It has signed MOU’s with number of organizations like VNIT, IIT, Oracle, TCS, COEP, Global Shapers, etc. and many more.The Institute has 7 UG Engineering Programs, 14 PG Engineering Programs, MBA & MCA and 7 Doctoral Programs in Engineering and Technology. The institute has adopted outcome based education and has been listed in top 10 institutions under AICTE-CII Survey of 2013.The institution recently won ‘Innovative campus Award’ for submitting maximum number of Innovative Engineering Projects to Engineering students Innovation Challenge (ESIC) 2014 organized by International Society for Research and Development (ISSRD). All undergraduate of 2012 batch onwards have compulsory 6 month industrial internship embedded in 4 year degree course. As emphasis is given on innovation and internship has resulted into filing of 44 patents in last two years & Institute has been listed as 9th in top 10 highest patent filing institution for the academic year 2012-13 as per Annual report of Indian Patent office

Some of the facilities include:Library & Resources The College has a spacious centrally air-conditioned library of area l304 Sq m the college devotes considerable efforts and resources to the development of an outstanding library collection to meet the expanding need of teaching and research. The library has more than 65,000 volumes, which include text books, reference books and research material on different disciplines in Science, Engineering and Management It also subscribes regularly to a large number of technical Journals and magazines, both Indian and Foreign. Book bank facilities are provided for the economically weaker section of students.Centralized Computing Centre (CCC)Our CCC has capacity of over 250 computers that work on 20 MBPS leased line connections and supported by 9 servers. At a time, the lab provides FREE internet surfing facility to more than 250 students operating from 8 am to 10 pm.R & D Initiatives for Post graduate Students
Mandatory dissertation work pertaining to live industrial problems/cutting edge technologies. Monthly progress seminars in presence of External Expert. Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC)The Industry-Institute Partnership Cell of the college conducts various activities. The cell functions with the following objectives.
To enhance industry-institute interaction. To increase industry involvement in curricular aspects. To arrange industrial training for students and identify students project work in the Industries. To arrange short term programs/workshops for the benefit of students. To arrange guest lectures. To give boost to Entrepreneurial activities.
Incubation Center To support the startups and to create ecosystem for entrepreneurship GHR Labs and Research Centre has launched G H Raisoni Incubation Centre. The center is boon for the students in the region & probably only incubation facility
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC);EDC cell exists to support and nurture ideas and to develop entrepreneurship. The Institute has MoU with premier government agencies like MCSD and MSME.
Campus Wide Networking Wi-FiInstitute has around 1300 computers, connected through internet. Entire institute is connected through campus wide networking. Entire campus is Wi-Fi. It connects all the departments to common servers. The inter-departmental communication is always through internet server.Corporate Resource CellTraining and Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.
Medical facilities Psychological counselor:-A renowned Psychological counselor is available on every Saturday in

BOS meeting on 14th Mar,2015
Board of Studies Meeting of MBA department was held on 14th March, 2015. Prof. Jasbir Matharu, IMT, Nagpur, Dr. Kanchan Naidu, RCOEM, Nagpur were expert from other college and Mr. Nitin Alshi, practicing C.A., represented expert from industry. Dr. Yasin Sheikh, Prof. Sanjiv Kumar were faculty representatives. Prof. Madhu Menon participated as co-opted faculty representative in the meeting. Ms. Supriya Sahare participated as student representative in the meeting.
Dr. K.S. Mukherjee, Chairman of the BOS briefed the delegates about the academic activates of the department for the session 2014-15. Prof. Sanjiv Kumar gave the detail presentation about the agenda of the meeting and co-ordinated the discussion process. The main agenda for the meeting was to come-up with revised MBA scheme.
The suggestions of the meeting has been incorporated and is been sent to Dr. Prashant Salvan, IIM, Indore to take his input on the scheme revival. Dr. Prashant Salvan is Vice-chancellor nominee, RTM, Nagpur University, who could not attend the meeting

On Boarding Program for the first year students was organized on 20th August,2014. Dr.Preeti Bajaj, Director ,GHRCE while addressing the students informed about the college & its various achievements. She has also informed students about various facets of MBA.
Deputy Director &Dean Academics Dr.P.B.Nagarnaik spoke about the curriculum & examination pattern o the college.
Dr.U.S.Wankhede Dean PG, highlighted various research achievements of the college. He also briefed about various research facilities that the students can avail.

MBA Forum Installation Ceremony -Cosmos
Department of Management Studies organized Forum Installation ceremony-“Cosmos-2014”. It was held on 29th September, 2014 .The chief guest of the program was Dr. P Bajaj, Director, GHRCE. Prof A.Thomas, Dean PG, Dr.K.S.Mukherjee HOD-MBA, Prof.A.U.Gahankari HOD-MCA & all the staff members of MBA & MCA were present for the occasion.
The program started with Saraswati Vandana & lighting of traditional lamp by thedignitaries. All the dignitaries were given a floral welcome by the students. During her speech Dr.Bajaj appreciated the good works done by both the department.
From MBA department-Mr. Sumit Kumar Shejul was elected as Forum President and Miss. Jayshree Barde as Forum Secretary. The installation function was followed by cultural program.
In the afternoon session, various events such as singing competition, dancing competition were organized to showcase talents of the students.

Topic-Youth Participation in Politics
Department of Management Studies have organized student parliament on 29th
September, 2014. The topic for debate was “Youth participation in politics.” Prof A.Khan from MCA department was performing the duties of Speaker. The students had a friendly debate on various positive & negative issues pertaining to youth participation in politics.The students from MCA department also participated in the event.
The background work of the entire event was done by Ketan Tandulkar, MBA-3rd.Semester student under the guidance of Prof. Rajshree Admane.

A skit competition was organized on 15th August,2015.All the departments of the college participated in the event. Eventually Electronics department emerged winners in the event.

‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ hymn uplifted the atmosphere of GHRCE on the day of
Ganesh Chatruthi festival .The festivity was organized by the Department of MBA and
MCA. All students enthusiastically welcomed Ganesh ji in Department. Decoration was
over whelming increasing the charm of Ganeshjis Idol.
Most of the students were in traditional dresses enjoying the traditional
atmosphere. Ganesh Idol Sthapana followed by Aarti and at last Prasadam. All faculty
members were present during the event.

An activity ‘Hit the Ball’ was organized on 20th August,2014 by MBA department for its First Year & Second Year students. The main purpose of the event was to inculcate cohesiveness amongst them. Students enjoyed the session a lot.

G H RAHE has conducted 6 days workshop of general proficiency for MBA 1st Semester students.The workshop was conducted from 13th Oct,2014-18th Oct,2014.The resource person for the workshop was Mr.Varhadpande.
The main motive behind this workshop was to make students employable.The topics covered in this workshop were 3-c report preparation,GD –PI sessions,Role play,Communication skill development etc.

The MBA third semester students had thrown a fresher party for the MBA first semester students on 13th September, 2014. The venue for the party was Hotel Heritage Embassy. The Department of Management studies has organized an industrial visit to Go-Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra at Deolapar, Taluka Ramtek, District Nagpur on 21st August, 2014 for and first and third year students.
Go-Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra (GVAK) is a registered research and development Organization, working in the field of health, agriculture and cattle protection. The organisation is located at Sevadham, Deolapar, Taluka Ramtek, District Nagpur (INDIA). Deolapar is 65 kms from Nagpur on Nagpur - Jabalpur Highway. The Sevadham research campus was established and inaugurated on October 15, 1996. A healthcare centre is also established at the centre.
The Go-Vigyan Anusnadhan Kendra assumed a role to assess and re-establish the scientific basis of eco-friendly productivity based on cow and its progeny.

The Department of Management Studies had organized an Industrial visit to Renuka Equaipments Pvt Ltd in 11th October, 2014. All the First & Third semester students visited the plant. The students were accompanied by two faculty members of the department,Prof. Admane & Prof.Menon.
Renuka Equipments Pvt Ltd It is an engineering company located in MIDC, Hingna-Nagpur. The objective of this visit is to provide the knowledge to the students about the inner atmosphere and industrial acquaintance of the Engineering (fabrication) company. The students were briefed about the fabrication work undertaken by the company.

The Department of Management Studies. GHRCE had organized an industrial visit to Duraweld Metsys Private Limited at MIDC, Hingna Nagpur on 13th October, 2014 for all their First & Third semester students.The students were accompanied by two faculty members, Prof.Menon & Prof Admane.
Duraweld Wearplates Private Limited is a company promoted by experienced Metallurgist and Technocrats, who designed & developed wear plates. The students took a round of the plant. They were shown the manufacturing operations in three batches. The students had a brief interaction with the staff members of Duraweld Metsys. The department thanked Mr. Nikhal Patwardhan for his kind cooperation.

On 12th February,2015 –department had organized an industrial visit At Giriraj Industries, Kalmeshwar. The company specializes in preparing ropes for Industrial purpose.

The Department of Management Studies ,GHRCE has organized an industrial visit to JSW Steel Coated Product Located at MIDC, Kalmeshwar on 14th March, 2015. All students of MBA Final & Second Semester took part Industrial Visit along with threefaculty members.
The students were briefed about the different operational aspect working of the plant. The student were taken for a round and were briefed about the functioning of the plant. The students had a brief interaction with the staff member of the company. They enquired about the best practices followed by the company. Prof. Madhu Menon was In-Charge of the visit.Prof.Admane & Prof Dharmik accompanied the students. Students thanked Dr.Bajaj, Director, GHRCE for her support.

Every year Department of Management Studies, GHRCE as a part of its corporate social responsibility program organizes visit to some under privilege section of the society. This helps our budding managers to know about the need of under privilege people.The CSR activities help the managers it is important to look beyond profits and balance sheet. The futures managers learn about balance the needs of society and environment at large. It is important for business to take responsibility for its actions, that business must be fully accountable.
This year the students visited Blind Relief Association Mundle School, Deeekshabhumi.The students were briefed about the life and work of Blind students. The students visitedthe blind School on 09th Jan. 2015. The students had a brief interaction with the teacher and students of the school. The students were shown different activities taking place in the Blind School.The activity was coordinated by Prof Menon,Prof Admane,Prof,Dharmik.

The conference was held on 30th & 31st January, 2015. The Chief Guest of the Conference was Dr.Dinesh Lingote, Scientist, National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Nagpur. Dr. P.B Nagarnaik Director In-Charge, Dr. U.S. Wankhede, Dean R&D, Dr.K.S Mukherjee, HOD & Convener, Department of Management Studies were present on the dias.
Dr. Dinesh Lingote in his speech highlighted the importance of Security in Information Technology and its implications in Business & Economics.
Prof. Sanjiv Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. Department of Management Studies, GHRCE have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (MCED), Nagpur center for conducting a survey work of 138 closed units at MIDC, Hingna Area ,Nagpur. As per the MOU the department will conduct the survey and will submit a report to MCED. The MOU was signed on 08th Jan, 2015. All the MBA students will take part in thissurvey. Department of Management Studies & IIP Cell of GHRCE Nagpur has organized an Entrepreneurial Development session in association with MSME, Nagpur branch. The session was organized for MBA-3rd.Semester students. The event was held from 8th
September, 2014 to 19th September, 2014. During the inaugural session Mr.D.S.Kandhare ,Asst Director (IMT),MSME-DI Nagpur was prominently present. He briefed the students about MSME & its various facets. Through this program students learned many things regarding Entrepreneurship. The entire event was meticulously planned to give the students an inside details about starting an own venture.
Topics like Business Ideas Generation Process, Evaluation of Business Idea,Business Ideas Generation Process, Evaluation of Business Idea. Entrepreneurial support system that is available, Activities of SIDBI, EDI, NIESBUD, DIC, NABARD, Current situation of Entrepreneurship in India, Problems of women Entrepreneurship were discussed during the session.
All the students were given printed study materials & registers during the inaugural session. The sessions were conducted in two slots –morning slots(10.30 am-1.00pm) & afternoon slots (2.30pm.-5.00pm).Students were pleased woith the overall arrangement.
After the session got over, students gave examinations on the basis of their learning’s. Also feedbacks were taken from the students after the end of the program by MSME.

The Department of Management Studies has organized the screaming of an episode of TV talk show Satyamev Jayate. It was organized on 19th December, 2014.The episode “who is the real man” was shown in the classroom. Students of both 2nd & 4th Semester were there as audience.
The episode explained the qualities required in a real man. The Students and Staff were deeply impressed by the discussions & deliberations on the show. The event was coordinated by Prof.
Kushal Dharmik.
