Started in the year 1984 as "Institute of Ankush Polytechnic", with 3 Diploma Courses in Engineering &
Technology, it has progressed by leaps and bounds to its present status of one of the best polytechnics of the
Maharashtra State, imparting academic training in 8 Engg. Diploma disciplines. The institute was renamed as "G
H Raisoni Polytechnic, Nagpur" in the year 1998 and since then the institute has taken rapid strides in all fields of
technology. The institute is headed by Prof. Ganesh N. Akhade, M.Tech. with 19 years of experience in
administration & teaching. Institute was awarded in 2003 with "Best Polytechnic Trophy” by Institution of
Engineers, Nagpur local centre in Innovations -2003.

1.For our polytechnic , admission procedure is as per the
provisions of a) MAHARASHTRA UNAIDED PRIVATE
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION INSTITUTE ACT, 2015 & b) as
per the relevant notifications issued, time to time by
competent authority ,Govt. of Maharashtra .Information
provided under these “Admission rules / procedure”is an
excerpts of the relevant notifications by Govt. of
Maharashtra as well as above said act. For all legal
purposes, provisions/ modalities available in the original
version of the act & notifications of Govt. of Maharashtra
will have final binding on all stake holders.
2. Definitions (1) In these rules, unless the context awarded by a recognised Boards ;

Freeship/Scholarship by Government of Maharashtra:
To avail Scholorship or Freeship of Social Welfare Development of Government of
Maharashtra, it is mandatory to take admission through “Centralized Admission
Process (CAP)” of Govt. of Mahrashtra.
Note for other than Maharashtra State Candidates (O.M.S)
In case of candidate from other state, the statement of marks for SSC or equivalent
should be in English only, clearly mentioning the name of subjects & in case where
the mark sheet is in language other than English. It should be translated to English
by the competent authority.
