The curriculum meets several of Georgia’s K-5 Performance Standards for Physical Education and also includes cross-curricular activities to
integrate the safety message in other classroom subjects.
Six workshops will be held throughout Georgia during October/November 2011. Space is limited, so register now for a workshop in your area.

Child Pedestrian Safety EducationTraininG OPPOrTuniTy
The free two-hour workshop will provide strategies and tips to teaching a child pedestrian safety education curriculum developed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, including a hands-on, interactive review of the lesson plans and materials. Each participant will receive a copy of the curriculum materials.

STIPENdS to supplement substitute teacher expenses are available based on need and availability. The stipend amount is $50 and limited to one per school; stipends will be mailed to the school after participation in the training session.Note: If you will be requesting a substitute teacher stipend, please be prepared to provide information on your school, including name, mailing address and Federal ID number.
