FastTrack House

Urbanization often results in skyrocketed land prices and shortage of housing

and people increasingly live in slums and other undesirable living conditions.

FastTrack House offers an innovative, affordable and fast-track housing

solution for lower income groups in India and developing nations, as well

as other disaster-affected communities. A low-cost, energy efficient quality

house made from interlocking concrete blocks, it can be constructed in 7

days. The unique interlocking system means no cement is required, thus,

reducing considerable construction costs. In addition, the concrete blocks

will be made from aggregates obtained from municipal sewage and fly-ash

(by-product from thermal power stations), thereby making our construction

material eco-friendly. For growing cities, FastTrack House is a way forward

to pacify rising living costs and for disaster-struck areas, it is an effective and

efficient form of damage control.

Green Veranda

Nowadays, there is a growing desire to become more environmentally

conscious. However, as a result of development, there are fewer green areas.

In Indonesia’s major cities such as Bandung and Jakarta, a lot of green areas

have been reduced, resulting in more pollution and rise in temperatures. Green

Terrace provides a unique garden construction and consultancy services

using organic crops that contribute to the development of a greener city. Our

gardens are designed to use minimal space and based on the condition of

the land. We fulfill our clients’ needs and encourage the use of organic crops,

such as vegetables plant, herbal, and flower plant. Clients can choose either

a standard pre designed package or opt for a customized one. Green Terrace

can help solve some of the environmental problems we are facing today and

contribute to creating a better living environment.

Greenovators

The 1970 crude oil discovery in Nigeria has driven agriculture into its shell.

The fields are green and the land is fertile, yet the yields are low and the

locally produced rice contains stones and is nearly inedible. The government

has no choice but to import US$2.1 billion of stale and less nutritional rice

per annum to meet local demands. This inspired the establishment of Green

Wealth Innovation Limited (GWI), an agricultural company that uses innovative

monitoring technique, which is a machine drying technique, to cultivate a

hybrid of local and foreign rice, the G Rice. This stoneless rice (G-Rice) is

high quality, cheap and fresh rice that can be produced in large quantities

and supplied to major cities in Nigeria; thus, gradually decrease importation,

tackle poverty and generate employment, which in turn will improve living

conditions.

28 29

Kaizen

Kaizen produces Shurokkha (meaning protection), an affordable, eco-friendly

and disposable sanitary pad made from local bamboo fibers for female factory

workers in Bangladesh. Women form a big part of the workforce in many

industries in Bangladesh and contribute immensely towards the country’s

economic development. Despite this, discussion about menstrual health is

still considered a taboo and the sanitary napkin is a luxurious item for many.

The lack of an affordable, quality sanitary napkin has resulted in unhygienic

menstrual practices, and menstrual disorder is the main reason for absences

from work for female factory workers. We believe that despite socioeconomic

backgrounds, every woman has the right to learn and talk about menstrual

health. Through Shurokkha, we hope to encourage good menstrual care and

practices, which in turn will nurture a more confident and productive female

workforce.

display the problem area so the worker can adjust the protective clothing until

it is correct before proceeding into the clean room. There is also a log feature

that records the results for future employee reviews. Strata Vision is the first

of its kind on the market and applicable to many industries. It will improve

gowning up procedures tremendously and will help minimize contamination,

which is crucial to the success of some businesses.

The Hummingbird

Mobile phone has become an indispensable gadget nowadays. With a variety

of applications, it is a source for knowledge and entertainment. When mobile

phones run out of battery, people become anxious, wanting to charge them

immediately. External battery packs offers a solution to this, but their large

sizes often meant an additional load to carry. To provide a more efficient

mobile charging solution, we have created The Hummingbird, a charger that

solves inconveniences associated with the bulkiness and long recharging

time of traditional external battery packs. An ultra-small, fast-charging

and Qi-Wireless capable external battery, it can be recharged within a few

minutes and is capable of delivering infinite power. Charging stations are also

available at conveniently located stores and cafes, making the Hummingbird

an innovative charging solutions ideal for the busy urban lifestyles.

Vietgreeny

created three products that can facilitate different needs. For experienced

gardeners, we have clean compost recycled from rice straws for growing

their desired vegetables. For those with limited time, we have ready to eat

fresh sprouts that are high in nutritional value for purchase. For those with

little experiences but keen to try gardeners, we have an all-in-one Sprouter

kit that you can plant and grow at home for your clean vegetable supply. We

believe the eco-friendly approach and variety in our products will secure a

large market share and help improve the living conditions significantly.

Wireless Medical Ltd.

Wireless Medical Limited aims to invent, design and develop pioneering

solutions in healthcare and medicine. Its current product is EasyG – an

innovative, wireless adaptation system for existing electrocardiogram (ECG)

machines. It will make ECG monitoring simpler, faster and safer, offering patients

a more dignified and comfortable experience than the current system. The

wires in the current system take up valuable time to untangle and clean, and

can carry potentially harmful infections. The EasyG system overcomes these

problems with a module, which connects through the original patient wires.

Wireless electrode signals are transmitted from the patient to the adaptor,

which are then converted to signals so it can be processed as normal by the

existing ECG machine. EasyG will save healthcare organisations money and

improve cost effectiveness and efficiency, and minimizes the risk of hospital-

acquired infections in patients.
