Ses produits backstage ? Le Thickening Spray, une laque légère pour dessiner la raie avec une précision d’orfèvre. On the Guy Laroche runway, Laurent Philippon, Creative Consultant for American hair giant Bumble & Bumble, went for a very low part and a wide lock sweeping the forehead over pulled-back hair. What does he use backstage? Thickening Spray, a light lacquer to create the part with masterful accuracy. But it’s new product Spray Mode that gives his hairstyles such a gleaming fi nish V. P.

U n tee-shirt en édition limitée, une trousse pour nos enfants, une photo d’art, on a tous quelque chose en nous de Colette…

Mes premiers pas au 213, rue Saint-Honoré, je les dois à Colette et à sa fi lle, Sarah, cofondatrice et directrice artistique du concept store. Quinze ans plus tard, me voilà à une table du Water Bar face à Sarah, che-veux courts, pas maquillée, courtoise et discrète en pull nœud Comme Des Garçons. Arrive sa complice Olympia, cheveux rete-nus, bouche rouge (Rouge Pur Couture de Saint Laurent ?), pétillante et espiègle en dégaine vintage. Dans leurs présentations respectives, l’une paraît être le verso de l’autre et pourtant non, une complicité presque frater-nelle les unit, chacune empreinte d’un ADN singu-lier. Elle se sont connues grâce au graffeur André, et la « curieuse de talents » a découvert les sacs poé-tiques de la socialite, initiée dès son plus jeune âge par ses grands-mères au « brodé main ». Toutes deux partagent une passion pour le Japon, toutes deux apprécient la culture street du Français Julien David, toutes deux s’électrisent de musique. Les projets de l’une intéressent l’autre : le Colette Carnaval, ouvert au grand public, organisé les 10 et 11 mars, dans les jardins des Tuileries, sera assurément suivi par Olympia, émerveillée par les mille et un ateliers prévus pour l’occa-sion. La première collection de prêt-à-porter de la créatrice Power, Corruption & Lies, composée de sept looks, semainier de dres-sing, est vivement encouragée par Sarah qui a déjà passé commande ! Quarante-cinq mi-nutes plus tard, je me sépare d’elles avec une certitude : les femmes sont fortes. Surtout si elles conservent une âme d’enfant. �

A limited-edition T-shirt, a pencil case for our kids, an art photo…there’s a bit of Colette’s in everyone’s life. I owe my fi rst steps across the threshold of 213 rue

Saint-Honoré to Colette and her daughter, Sarah, co-founder and artistic director of the concept store. Fifteen years later, here I am sitting at a Water Bar table across from Sarah - short hair, no makeup, courteous and discreet in a Comme Des Garçons bow sweater. Her accomplice, Olympia, then arrives; hair pulled back, red lips (Yves Saint Laurent’s Rouge Pur Couture?), eff ervescent and playful in a vintage retro look.Their respective appearances give the impres-sion of their being opposites, and yet not…an almost sisterly complicity exists between them, each imbued with a unique DNA. They met via graffi ti artist André, and the “talent snoop” discovered the poetic bags of the socialite,

introduced to “hand embroidered” at a very early age by her grandmothers. Both are passionate about Japan, both like the street culture of Frenchman Julien David, both are electrifi ed by music. The projects of one interest the other: the Colette Carnaval, open to the public, held March 10 and 11 in the Tuileries Gardens, will certainly be visited by Olympia, wonder-struck at the 1001 workshops scheduled for the occasion. The designer’s fi rst ready-to-wear collection, Power, Corruption & Lies, with seven looks, a week’s wardrobe, is strongly encouraged by Sarah, who has already placed an order!Forty-fi ve minutes later, I leave their company certain of one thing: these are strong women. Especially if they preserve their childlike hearts.
