We aim to create unique and exciting gardens, responding to the brief and location of every project.
We feel it is important to have a strong architectural framework to each project, whether the setting is in a rural, natural environment or a more contained urban context.
Our design-led approach creates contemporary or more traditional gardens with strong planting themes and suitable material selection.Other design elements include lighting, irrigation, furnishings and sculpture.
Zelkova Design is a garden and landscape practice, with a strong design-led philosophy. Projects throughout the UK range from the contemporary through to the more traditional.
The practice was established by Simon Torr and Tom Kemp. Both designers have over 10 years professional experience in designing private gardens and public landscapes in the UK, as well as abroad. Projects vary in size and complexity from large country estates through to smaller urban gardens and roof terraces.
The Design Process
A completed design commission will evolve over several different stages. Listed below is the usual direction a project will take.
