The Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ: 6/14/20
St. Bonaventure Catholic Community
Gathering:
2
First Reading: Deuteronomy 8:2–3, 14b–16a
Moses reminded the people that for forty years God tested
them in the desert. The Lord let them be hungry and fed them
manna, showing that God’s people do not live by bread alone.
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:16–17
By sharing in the eucharistic bread, Christians, though many, are
one body in Christ.
Gospel: John 6:51–58
Jesus told the crowds that he is the living bread come down
from heaven. All who want eternal life must “eat the flesh of the
Son of Man and drink his blood.” Jesus said, “Whoever eats my
flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.”

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
