Forward list of proposed officials for league games to OWHA Referee-in-Chief
Channel correspondence from teams to league and from league to teams
Must have current email address and check it regularly

League Liaison confirms list of teams with Head Convenor with OWHA #s, division and category for teams
Head Convenor confirms list of eligible teams with OWHA Registrar

League Meetings General Meetings are expected to be
held during season (likely Sept, Oct, Nov, Jan, Feb, May)

League Alignment and Scheduling Committee has been working to create a draft presentation considering: Division Category Geography
Scheduling Committee will draft balanced home and away schedules for each division with cross over games if necessary

Associations to provide teams with sufficient ice to play games A variety of ice allowing for flexibility on
weeknights and weekends or even double-headers
Teams should be prepared to use practice ice to make schedules work
Teams send representatives to scheduling meeting to complete schedule and select Category Convener
Rules
Similar to those currently used in the old leagues
The New League will ensure all players and staff are duly registered: Players and staff lists on games sheets will
be in form of labels printed from MtW ALL teams will enter game statistics into
the database within a specified time after every game and home teams must fax game sheets to League at Central Contact Number after EACH game
Game Length
All games for a Category for the season will be the same length
Bantam AA, Midget AA, Intermediate A and Senior games – 12/15/15 minutes
All other games – 10/10/12 minutes STOP TIME
No time outs in regular season games Specific procedures and policies to deal with
games that are curfewed and/or prematurely terminated will be addressed
Officiating
All officials to be currently certified and registered with OWHA/USA Hockey
All League Liaisons to provide officiating scheduler contact to OWHA RIC
Association Scheduler to ensure that all officials are registered with the OWHA
Officiating Numbers
How Many In Bantam AA, Midget AA, Midget A, Midget
BB, Intermediate A, a three referee system is mandatory.
All other divisions use a two official system unless specified by the Executive
Three officials must be supplied where specified
Suspensions
Suspensions are governed by the OWHA policy
Team must notify OWHA Regional Director of all suspensions members receive in league and all OTHER games
Team must notify league of all suspensions members receive in league or OTHER games
Team must file game sheets for all suspensions served including those from tournament games with both OWHA and the League
League Playoffs
Regular season standings are determined by points with a tie breaking procedure
The Executive will make a presentation at the next meeting

FINANCES
Considerable discussion in preparation of budget for 2007-08
Principle Championship weekend will be self funded
by those qualifying Per team cost for 2007-08 to be $160
Critical Dates
League defines dates by which certain information or activities must be completed
Failure to meet dates can result in fines or suspensions
Critical for appropriate operation of the league
