Introduction

This catalogue features all original paintings by Geoff Butterworth on display at Heartbeat Gallery.

Geoff Butterworth is one of Britain’s leading watercolour artists, he started painting in 1980 and has

won many prizes and awards. His work is remarkably honest. Geoff's dramatic use of light and shade and

purity of colour are instant markers of his style and work. Being self taught has allowed his paintings to de-

velop uninfluenced by schooling, also a constant programme of exhibitions has brought critical acclaim

from the start. His work is highly rated by the watercolour purists which means a great deal to him as wa-

tercolour is a most difficult medium to master. This is why he is widely collected throughout the world.

The catalogue includes all paintings featured at the Gallery. If you are interested in acquiring work we are

open Tuesday to Saturday 11am until 6pm. For any enquiries please give us an email or call us on +44

(0)750 360 1849. We accept cash or cheque.
