2. Jenkin demanded retribution and hoped that the English parliament would be so outraged as to support the colonists efforts to defend the colony of Georgia from Spanish attacks.
3. According to the locations of both Spanish and English forts, it indicates that both countries claimed land in Georgia; eventually the English would drive the Spanish further south to the unofficially boundary of the St. John’s river.
