Owl Pellet

You will be given parts of owl pellets. Take the toothpick and remove the fur. Set your bones aside as you find them.

You have 5 minutes to finish up your work.

Select a bone that has many details such as curves, interesting shapes or holes.

Pick one part of the bone and think if you will draw the bone from the top, the bottom or the side (perspective).

Select a bone to draw.

STOP!!!! FREEZE!!!

Please put your tools down. Write your name on the back of your paper and set

your paper aside.

Making a Diorama

Fold your paper in half corner to corner. Repeat with the other corner. You have created a

folded “X” with the center being where the two folds meet.

Determine the bottom of your picture. Cut from one corner to the center of the paper. Fold one side of the cut under the other side of the cut

and glue.

STOP!!!! FREEZE!!!

Put your tools down. Place remaining pellets in your baggie. Glue the bones you would like to use onto your flower

picture.

Clean up! Place art work in designated area. Clean up table space…throw all tooth picks and pellet

remains you do not want in the garbage. Take home pellets if you would like but remember to wash your hands after touching them!
