    Khatem-ul ambia and Khatemul Hujjat Khatem-ul-aulia (Peacebe upon both of Them)

    THE BATTLEOF HINDA foretelling (of an event happening in future) by

    Anrong the total special attributes of Risalat Ma'ab(Hazrat Muhammad; (SnS) this one is also there that heforetold about certain important events that were to happenin future and as the time is passinghis foretelling are provedto be true one by one. Hence these foretelling are countedby Ulama among Mojizat (miraculous deeds and sayings)about the advent of our Imam Mahdi(AHS) HazratRasoolullah(SN)'s sayingsare rnore than three hundred. Asthe advent of Mahdi Maud was among the necessit ies fDeen ( ls lam), i t was not possible or the prophet (s\s) tobe si lent about i t . In some tradit ions (Ahadith) \ lahdi 'sfamily particularsare mention, n some others from u hom hedescents, n some traditions Mahdij exalted position ismentionedwhile in others his lofty qualities. Some traditionspoint out about the place he would be born and some showthe time and period when his advent would take place. Insome Ahadith his features facial) are shown while in othershis Character is emphasized.Among these Ahadiths one isabout CAZWA-E-HIND (THE BATTLE OFHIND). This is our Prophet(SAs)'s romise s well as aMojizah.whichcan be takenas a testimony Hujjat) of hisProphethood.

    must compulsorilyhave a leader who is Khalifatullah andmamoormin allah.The stimulus or this type of thinking s the end

    resultwhich s mentionedn the end of tradition:- i-e. boththeseset will be saved rom the fire and both belon_go theUmmah of Rasoolullah(sAs).n other wordsalthough hesetwo sets of peopleare mentioned, he end of both is thesame- hat is safety rom perishingand destruction.A wholeset of peoplecan be saved rom destructionwhen the leaderof the set enjoys the position of saviour of Urnmath-e-Muhammadia.Thinking on this line when we proceedfurther,we comeacross tradition n which the secondsetof peoplementioned bove (thosewho will fight in Hind)are shownwith the first set of people led by lrutaHS); inoneorder.The narrations thus:How will my ummah peish when I am in the firstphase, Isa in the last phase and MaLdi from me is inthe middle ptrase.

    It is know from this traditionthat along with HazratIsa(AHS), wo other persons re shownas the savioursofUmmaht-e-Muhammadia and they are HazratRasoolullah(sAs)imselfand Hazrat Imam Mah6;(AHS).

    (Now, in the first traditionrnentioned bove) Theleader of the second set of people cannot be HazratRasoolullah(sAS)..uuse he did not fight a battle in Hind(lndia). Of the other two saviours, ne is Hazrar I (AHS)and the seconds Hazrat ffiull,1;(AHs).

    In the above tradition the name of Hazrat Isa(AHS)has been clearly mentioned. However in the case of[1zlul,,]i(AHS)1 has been pointed out that his people willf igh t in H ind.     I (The writer of this article) did not see who rsmentioning bout the groupwho will fight in Hind. He dldnot see urther hat this groupmentionedwith which grouf)and what is the end and result of the group. HazratRasoolullah(SAs)s mentioningabout this group that willfisht in Hind.     I will sacrifice my life and belongings. If I am killed inthis battle, I shall be counted among trigL-rankedmartyrs (Afzal Shuhada). If I return as a "Ghazi"(Conqueror), I will be that Abu Hurrairah who Lasbeen freed from the fire of trell. "

    Hazrath Abu Hurrairahtu who was bestov,edwiththe tasteof lofty companyof Hazrat Rasoolullah(SAS)o116not havedesired o be in a lowerrank company.

    Hazrat Abu Hurrairahtu.'sdesire to join this group(Jama'at)and fight in the battleshovs that this groupwasnot an ordinarygroup.

    The last wordsof Hazrat Abu HurrairahR' n thistradition that If I get killed I would be counted amongLigh ranked martyrs and if f return as a GLazi , Iwill be that Abu Hunairah who Las been freed fromttre fire of Helf prove that Hazrat Rasoolallah(SAS)rutclearly and emphaticallypointed out that those who takepart in that battle will be freed from the fire of hell. Andthis evoked a tense desire in the heart of Hazrat AbuHurrairahR' o join and fight in the battle to get killed orcomeout of battleas a Ghazi.

    is written and in other reading it is Hatrar Hama .Readerswith superficialsieht mai' think it easy to relate theCazwa-e-Hind to \{ahmood of Ghazni. But the words ofthe traclition and Haz-rat Abu Hrrrairahfu's tense desirekeep this idea veru far from the truth. If this is not the casethen a question arisesu hether Abu Hunairahfu desired toattack on Somnath along u ith \{ahmud of Ghazni and getthe gold. diamor,dsand booty from the temple. After livingin the pious company of Hazrat Rasoolullah(sAS) whoproclaimed AI-Fuqr u Faktrri (poverty and hunger aremy glory), will Abu Hurrairah desire to put himself to sucha low position as to go in the company of a worldly tyrani.king like Mahmud of Chaznil

    It may be said with clarity that the group (Jama'at)fighting n Hind is the group of Hazrat Mln[i;(AHS), andwithoutdoubt Hazrat Mahdi(AHS) s saviorof Ummat-e-Muhammadia like Hazrat Rusoolullah(sAS)and Hazrat1."(AHS). This has been explained by HazratRasoolullah(SAS)1*r.lf. An important clear point in it isthat the adventof Hazrat Mahdi(AHS) will be in Hind.

    But, whether this battle (Gazwa) took place inHazrat Mahdi(AHs)'s timesl Whether this battle can berightly calleda Gazwal Where did it take placel By whomwas t conductedlThesequestions re to be considered.This articlecarries he followingpoints:

    1. Hazrat Rasoolullah(SAS)ur promised bout a battlethat wil l be fought n Hind (i.e. India)

    2. The illustrious igh rankedsahabiAbu HurrairahR'desiresWholeheartedlyo join this battle.

    ). The group that fights this promisedbattle has beenmentionedalongwith the group of Hazrat Isa(AHS)whoseend and result s gettingfreed from the fire ofHell .

    4. The word 'Cazva" cannot fit from any angleon thebattle oughtby Mahmud of Ghazni.Now it is to be seenwhen was this Cazwa fought in

    only in onebattle n his life.But the events nd time of thisbattle are suchthat the word Cazwa cannot it on it' Thefollowing re the reasons:

    1. The iirst thing to note is that this battlewas foughtbetu'eenSultan Hussain Sharquiand Dalpat Rai,King of Caur-. The stimulus f this batt lewas heBayan-e-Quran (Explanationof the Ayats ofQuran) by Hazrat Mahdi(MS) in *hi.h he stressedthat lslam'ssubjugationo idolatory Kufr) was notpermissible.Sultan Hussain Sharqui said he rvaspayrng ribute to king of Gaur and if he stoppedit, a battlewill become nevitable.He further said hedid not have necessarymeans o face a battle' Onthis Hazrat. Mahdi(AHS) said 'Allah is Naser(supportiveand helpful) to His religion.'In this battle that ensuredSultan'sarrny was almost

    defended.At that time Hazrat Mahdi(AHS)was standingonan elevatedplace with someof his men. The Sultan sentword to hirn that his arrny was defeated and he(MahdlaHsl might also leave he battle field and return.But Hazrat Mahdi(AHS)did not leavehis place and stoodf i rmlva lons i th h ispeople .

    on such historiceventswho will say that the battle wasfought between Hazrat Mahdi(AHS) and Rai Dalpat ofGaur. It was in realitya battle between he Sultanand RaiDalpat. Hazrat Mahdi(aHS) oined this battleas a supporterand his intentionwas to support slam.

    As an under current it is right to consider hat theconquestwas the resultof Hazrat Mahdi(AHS)'spresencenthe battle but in apparent onditions he battle was Sultan'swho fought in support of Islam and he himself was thecommander f the ur,,'r. Had it beenImamunu''AHSbattlethe real fight in the beginningwould have been betweenI*.*u.u(AHS) and Rai Dalpat and the Sultanwould havejoin the battle as a supporter.But this was not thr case'

    Now the questiorrs veatherour first propositionhatthe group that will fight in Hind rvill be lVIu[l.l;(AHS)'tgroup, s wrong as during the periodof Mahdiyat HazratMahdi(AHS)did nor fight any battle)

    The answer o this question s that Gazwa-e-Hind(The battle of Hind) should have taken place duringI.urnunu'rAHS period of Mahdiyat and he should havebeen ts leader.But the will of Allah was that this "Gazs'a'should not be fought by Mahdi(AHS) 6;ntr.lf. It had to betaken placeafter hirn by a personselectedby Him (Allah)and who wasannounced y Mahdi(AHS)as "Badal-e-Zaat'(Substitute for him self). And this was clearly and fullyknown by Mahdi(AHS)'s Sahaba(companions)nd also byothers ar and wide.

    Allah's decision hat this Gazwa should take placeby the substituteof Mahdi(AHS)was because f Allah'sprevious ecision hat no one shouldovercome nd kill theconcludersThe prophet(SA-S)nd The Mahdi (aHS);

    Hence no one \ .as able to overcomeon HazratRasoolul lah(sAS)s a resultwhich Rasoolul lah(sN) ouldnot get excellence f -Shahadat" (martyrdom).This hasbeen written in -sirrus shahadatain" n pagel, that theexcellencehat remainedunachieved v Rasoolullah(SAs)

The reason or this as told by ShahAziz of Delhi wasthis"There is a secret in not getting this excellence(shahadat) y Rasoolullah(sAs).ad he (Rasoolulla6(sa^s);been killed in a battle, the dignity and spendourof Islamwould have been marred and there would have beendisturbancesn Deen".

    Hence as no one was able to over come on theKhatimul fuof,iu(sAs), so that the strength oi deen bekJpt intact, due to the samereasons o one cttuld overcomeon the KhatimuAulia (MuhdiAHs)as 'er Allah'swil l . In the Gazwa-e-Hindhereu,as he issue ri "Quti lu'alongwith the Quati lu(ie.Kil l ing su'el las beingkil led).Hazrat Mahdi(AHS)uft.r reciting he verse -ial lazeenahajaru...... ' t i l l the end ,attr ibutedhe four qualit ies ohimselfand his "quam" (people).He alsoexplained hat"fal lazeenaHajaru" has taken place, "Oukhniu mindaganhim' has beenover, 'ouzu fi sabili" has occurred.But "Quatilu wa Qutilu" is yet to Occur' It will occurwhenAllah wishes o.

    It is thus known now that Imu*aunu(AHS) t"1uttdthese four attributes to himself as well as to his Quam(People).     It is alsoa matter of considerationhat the narrationof Quatilu wa Qutilu's attribute was bestowedon HaztatBandagiMiyan Syed Khundmir(Rz)'by rhe command ofAllah was not a narrationby one man (Khabar-e-Wahed).It vas spoken many times and at many places byImarnuna(AHS)nd it was explainedat Farah in such a waythat all the inmatesof the Dairah sahaba,adies,(UmmatulMussadiqueen),Muhajireen and all spokeabout it. Moreover it was not limited to Dairah only it became amousoutside he Dairah also. The writer of 'lnsafnama-rvriresbefore Shahadat' many non mahadavis rsed to say:Hazrath Syed Mohammed ha,l bestou,erl he fourthattribute of battle on his special Khaliia \'1ivan S1'eclKhundmirtu. But this has not occurred ill noq. PerhapsMiyan Syed Khundmirtu will also transfer r ro one of hisKhalifas.And this will continue ill Qayamat. After heanngthis Miyan(R') said this is not the case. The fourthattributewill be expressed n this banda's (My) prsonasspecifiedby Imamunu(AHS) 61 for some days and seewhat happens.

    As Khatemain (Rasoolulla6(sas)and MahdiAHS)could not be over come by any personand this was in theknowledge f Allah.     Now the question s whosemartyrdomshould t beconsideredlThe attribute of Quatilu wa Qutilu was notprimarily on Bandagi Miutt(tu). It was basically for[\tl3]fi1(AHS). andasi Miun(tu) was appointedon the orderof Allah as a substitute o the personof Mahdi(AHS).Theanswer o this questioncan be none other than that theauribute of Quital was of yu1t6i't(AHS) but BandagiMiun(fu) was madea substituteor him on special easonsand theattnbute 'asshown n him.

    Here the important question s also solved whetherthe word Gazwa can rightly be appliedon this battle.     the substitute, then how can it be called as a commonbattle.And if the substitutes shown o get the expressionof Qutilu (killed) then how can it be called a commonmartyrdom(as infact it is the martyrdomof the real person(i.e. Mahdl(AHS)).Here logicand honesty i l l hold hat asthe attritrute of Quatilu and Qutilu was specificallyofHazrat M3[.i;(AHS), hencethe battle will be called theGhazwa and the martyrdom in it was a specialmartyrdom(Shahadat-e- aqsoosa).

    The above arguments were given because somepeoplewith non-arab (ajami) thinking feel that Gazwa is abattle in which Hz. Rasoo1u11u6(sAs)imself ook part. [nArabic languagehe word Gaza is commonand there is nosuch conditionas mentionedabove. Hence , Ghazi is aword from Caza and is applied to any personwho takespartin a religiousbattle and comesout un-killed. Moreover n aHadith it is said ragazuwa tag-tanamu .e. Fight a battleand get Mal-e-ghanimath (booty).Here also Gazwa isused in commonmeanings.These two examples re for thepeople with knowledge.There are many more examples nArabic.

    If it is still stressedhat the word Gazwa is usedonly for the battle in u'hich Hazrat Rasoolullah(sAS)ookpart, then we ask uhat namewill be given to the battlewhich was relatecl o the name of Hazrat ffi.ltfl1(AHs).Thosewho considerHazrat Mehdi(AHS) s l ts in rank andposition to Hazrat R *olulluh(SN) will not give anyanswer.Those who feel Hazrat Mehdi(AHS) quul in rank

    Rasoolullah(SAs). e very vell knew that in the battle thatwill take place n Hind in future he cannot ake part. Inspiteof this he remernberedhat battle with full responsibility.with the name Cazwa-e-Hind . If any one objects o this,then his objection will be to the person of HazratRasoolullah(SAS)imself. Allah Forbid).

    It is a fact that Sirya , 'Harab , Gaava' \rerernade to give different meanings by later historians andbiographers. To weigh the words of HazratRasoolullah(SAs)n the balanceof later historians s nothingbut folly and stupidity. It will not get any praise fromhonestyand knowledge.

    It is an irony that those who consider HazratRasoolullah(SN)'s attle only as Gazwa come to such lowlevel that they call the battle of Mahmud of Ghazni asGazwaand also he battle of SultanHussainsharqui. Suchpeople don't have any inclination to consider BandagiMiyan(R')'s battleas Gazw'a.Though it was the battle ofthe substitute f I*u*unu(AHS). acceptedby Allah whichshows he attributeof Quatilu and Qutilu in khambelandSudrason.t is off course n reality he Gazwa-e-Hind.

    This argumentwill remain ncomplete nd defectiveif that part of the narration s not mentionedwhich is thesoul of this full event.Hazrat Mehdi(AHS)has not bestowed
