    Thisisthe'worm'seyeview'ofthispoeticwork,butnottheinvocationofdeityof

    speech/poetics.Theinvocationisinnextverse.Aparableissaidaboutthisverse.Asusualwithanyotherpoet,Jayadevawasalso

    saidtobeatwiddlerofhisthumbs,andseeingthismaternaluncledauntshimfornottakingupanyjoborprofessionlikeanyotheryoungster.Jayadevarefusestrivialjobsanddeclareshimselfasapoetofparexcellence,andhecanportrayayam'that'godinaninnovativemannerandinoffthebeatentrack.Thenhismaternalunclequestionswhothatgodis,andthethemeof'that'poetry,about'that'god.ThenthispoememergedfromthedepthsofheartofJayadevaaboutayam,thatgodandhissequestereddeeds.Atthelastwordsofthisverse,thatunclespranguptohisfeetinire,andalmostsaidtohavestifledJayadevatodeath,forutteringsuch'blasphemouspoetry'on'that'god.

    Rdhadidnotgethercherisheddesirefulfilledinatrice,oratasnapoffinger.Shehadtoundergoherhistoricalordeal,puttotestbyKrishna.Whyshouldshe?Whensheiswilling,whenKrishnaisatherside,whenfatherNandapermitted,whenhermaidencouragesher...isshestillputtotest?Thesewouldbethepertinentdoubtsthatarise,thoughtheyarenotthequestionsinreality.Yes!SheisputtolitmustestbythismostmischievousKrishna,andshehadtoshedhertears,sobhersobs,frownherresentmentsetc.Whereallthishashappened?Oneachandeverypathwaytohome,ateachandeverytree,andineachofthebowers.Krishnaseemstobethere,butactuallyheisnottherethoughheissupposedlyunavailable,buthisflutingisaudibleverynearly.So,todepictthatatruedevoteehastoundergoastepbystepprocessfortheculminationofhis/herardentdesire,thepoetindicatesthattherearemanyapathwaytotread,manyarethetreesofwisdom,andmanyarethebowerstocontemplatelonelyandsolitarily,notonlyforRdhabuttoanydevotee.Allthesearegodsendgiftsofnatureandhumans.

    OntheuseofultramundanewordmaadhavalakSmii's,husbandVishnumaybeobserved,evenwhenKrishnaismanifestlyamortal,andavailablejustbeforetheeye.ThoughKrishnaisVishnuandthoughRukmini,hisfirstconsort,islakSmii,Krishna'slongingforanephemeralandpoeticembodimentcalledRdhaismore,anditsuggeststhatgodisinclinedmoretowardsrealdevotees,ratherthanforhiscoequals,likeRukminiorlakSmiiandthelike.
