ABOUT COLLEGEIslamiah Women's Arts & Science College is a symbol of devotion to education and love for learning of the

Muslims of Vaniyambadi who in their zeal for translating into action the message of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan,

established the Vanyambadi Muslim Educational Society in 1905, and Islamiah Women's College was

started in 1997.This college is a dream come true of the Muslim women of Vaniyambadi who yearned to pursue higher

education. Islamiah Women's Arts and Science College got provisional affiliation from the University of

Madras on 7th October 1997 and appeared on the educational horizon on 16th October 1997 at the

premises of Islamiah Girl's Higher Secondary School.At present the college is functioning in its own premises at By-Pass Road, Vaniyambadi. It has got

permanent affiliation with Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore and is recognized by University Grants

Commission under section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act of 1956.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENTThe Department offers courses at UG and PG level. It has been teaching language and literature to students,

who come from socially and economically backward society. It proves to be an asset and boon to the pupils,

especially female candidates in and around Vaniyambadi, to pursue their higher education. The

department is noted for its dedicated team of professors with erudite scholarship. The main aim of the

course is to develop and enhance the communication skills the prime necessity of current scenario.

ABOUT N.M.S. SERMATHAI VASAN COLLEGE FOR WOMENThe golden pages of history witnessed an educational revolution in the year 1993with the inception of NMS

Sermathai Vasan College for women, by Nadar Mahajana Sangam with a mission to uplift the educational

status of women in and around Madurai. The college was named afterthe benevolent philanthropist Thiru.

V.G.Vasan, and Thirumathi Sermathai Vasan, who believed the empowerment of women is through

knowledge and economic independence. The hand that rocks the cradle can rock the world is the vision of

V.P.R. Gangaram Durairaj, the founder of the college. The college is presently run by Nadar Mahajana

Sangam, and hails its preeminent status among several educational institutions run by the Nadar Mahajana

Sangam by providing quality and task based learning environment. The college is housed at the out skirts of

Madurai in a serene and spacious environment and permanently affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University.A thousand mile journey starts with a single step; the college takes its first step with an intake of 100

students, 3 departments and 7 members of the faculty. At present the college has 1630 students offering

wide array of 11 UG academic courses and 6 PG courses. This Himalayan development is due to the strength

of the diligent and compendious faculty of the college which rises to 113 teaching and non teaching and

supporting staff. To update the students with the latest global scenario the college has a stellar library

separately housed with reading rooms and E-learning facility. The college has been accredited with 'B'

grade by NAAC on 30 November 2018.

ABOUT THE BODHI INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL The Bodhi International Journal of Research in Humanities, Arts and Science is an Online, Peer- reviewed,

Refereed and Quarterly Journal. The Journal is committed to bring together academicians, research

PROCEDURE FOR PAPER SUBMISSIONArticles should be in Times New Roman, size: 12 double-spaced and submitted only in MS Word 2003/

2007 version. All papers should follow the MLA or APA style manual. The abstract must be of 250 words

and the full paper should not exceed 3000 words, including tables and references, if any. Authors should

submit papers as an e-mail attachment to bodhicongress@gmail.com. A Paper ID will be sent to the

corresponding author for further communication.

FOR ONLINE PAPER PRESENTATIONPaper presenters will be given 7 to 10 minutes to present their papers at a fixed time. They will be intimated

by the conference team regarding their time slot.

PUBLICATION Selected papers will be published in Refereed Journal with ISSN / Chapter Edited Book with ISBN and it is

not a Conference Proceedings. Hard copy of the published book will be couriered to all the scholars whose

papers were selected and published.

REVIEW PROCESS The articles will be evaluated on parameters of originality, relevance, and contribution to the current

academic scenario. The articles will go through a single-blind peer review process. All the articles will be

reviewed, copy-edited and approved for publication only after the acceptance from the Editorial Board.

work has not been published anywhere else. Contributors are advised to follow academic ethics with
