Stakeholders Engagement We have conducted a stakeholders analysis and there are three major groups of
stakeholders that we need to specifically focus, including employees, communities and
shareholders. We use different methods to engage with different groups of stakeholders
as follows:
Employees: Welfare Committee, Internal Affairs Committee, suggestion box,
complaining etc.
Communities: Tri-partite committee meeting, knock-door visit, open-house activity,
meeting of environmental monitoring committee, etc.
Shareholders: Shareholders meeting, email, company website, etc.

Bubble Concept (80:20) to Reduce NOx and SO2 Emission A reduction of NOx and SO2 emission had been implemented at the existing
facilities, so that the new project (e.g. GHECO1 and Glow Energy Phase 5) can
be allowed to construct. The air emission rate shall not be more than 80% of
reduced air emissions. The net result is an improvement of the overall air
quality in Map Ta Phut.

Accident Description: On 02/May/2013 at 19:30h, a
Maintenance staff had hot bed material splashed to his
body while flushing bed material pile after unplugging
from bottom of CFB Boiler (Temp. of furnace bed is
about 900oC). He had first aid treatment on-site and
transferred to a hospital for medical treatment resulted
in 10 days absence.
Actions Taken:
Install proper system or using special tools for safely
on-line unplugging bed material
Review work steps and use KYT (hazard prediction)
to safely handling spilled hot bed material pile
Provide training and communicate to all related
workers for hidden hazards/risks of spilled hot bed
materials
Use water spray/fog pattern to cool down hot bed
material
Improvement method to remove bed ash at
