    Tim Lots of things are going well. We tend to focus to much on thenegative this time of year.

    Rule interpretations: Effective immediately Doug will send out a weeklybulletin and post a blog on situations.

    Here is what was discussed today.Rule 10-3-102 technicals and a player is always ejected.

    -Rule 1 section 18The playing of music/sound effects shall only be permitted during pregame, time-outs, intermission and post game. The

    use of artificial noisemakers shall be prohibited.Clarification of Time Outs & Time Out Area

    This is to clarify where team members can stand during 30 second or 60 second time outs. It also clarifies who is

    a team member and that five players in the game at the time of the time-out Do Not have to stand (except stand

    during a 30 sec. T/O) or stay on the floor, as they can stand in the bench area as referenced in NFHS Rule

    NFHS Rule 1.13.3 Time-Out Area:The time-out area shall be the area inside an imaginary rectangle formed by the boundaries of the

    sideline (including the bench), end line, and an imaginary line extended from the free throw lane line nearest the

    bench area meeting an imaginary line extended from the coaching box line.

    NFHS Rule 4.34.4 Team Member:A Team member is a member of bench personnel who is in uniform and is eligible to become a player.

    NFHS Rule 5.12.5 Time Outs:The 60 second time-out conference with team members shall be conducted within the confines of the time-out

    area. Players shall remain standing within the confines of the time-out area during a 30 second time-out. (1.13.3)

    Independent contractors- WOA stand- Every association should haveConstitution, By-laws and policies in compliance with IndependentContractors procedures.

    The PNBOA are recruiting throughout the state and taking the lead to get

    legislation for Independent Contractor status.

    Kudos to our assignors:

    Assignor-John LindseyMLKing tournaments and Showare 3games at SU, 4 at Showare & 7 at UWOfficials can get in Free at Showare and the UW.

    Assigning policies for the games is the same. There is a minority in each game.If you are a playoff official (top 45) depending on availability you may have a

    game.Observations of JV officials. Tuesdays are the big day. Varsity officials get thereand observe 16 minutes.Contact your partners- There may be a change. Please respond back.

    Coaches comments- Crew that one official had 15calls in top 30 13calls 30-35range 2calls first year on varsity????? Work as a crew with the young varsityofficials.

    Manage the whole game, Players, Officials, and Fans. Know who the gymmanager is.
