EPHA Goalies and Coaches,

Here is a set of movement drills you are encouraged to work on at all skill and age levels of goaltending. Younger goalies should start out with the most basic versions and work up from there throughout the season. More experienced goalies can use the basic versions of these drills in a warm-up routine for practices or games. The advanced versions can then be used as drills in practice when working one-on-one with a coach. Shots can be added at some point in any of these to make it more realistic and interesting. There are some notes giving tips on things to look for and explanations on types of movements and saves.

When beginning a drill, go through it slowly and take your time between different steps to ensure proper execution. THINK about what you are trying to simulate and the situation it represents. As the goalie becomes more familiar with the specific movement, speed up the tempo.
