God’s Not Dead

Reflection:God’s not dead is an awakening movie. Not like any other typical

movies portraying cliché characters struggling to fight whether by hook or by

crook just to proclaim the rightfulness of what they believed. It brought a

new flavor to the public regarding things we never know that we can

absolutely ponder on. Josh Wheaton the lead character, a courageous man

who stand up for what he knows is right. In reality, we people tend to be

more cautious in everything we do. We are coward persons living beneath a

tough skin covering. We are wrapped enough that we may look really strong

and brave on the outside but when we are to make a stand, the true color

blends in the equation.

Convincing a person to change his perception, a hundred eighty

degrees turn must be a real hard work. But convincing a class to believe on

things that are way opposite to the things that are taught in is definitely a

harder work. The challenge accepted by Mr. Wheaton shows how bold he is

to recognize God’s existence in contrary to the beliefs of his professor.

Reverend Dave once said that it may not be simple but it is easy to do. Josh

knows and can defend God because he believes in him where he is sure that

God is alive because he knows. He just knows. There might not any

theoretical origins or scientific research on his existence but the outraging

sensual sensation that you feel whenever God is around and he is around.

Let’s you know that he is around.

Evilness lives in every being. The freedom to choose what is right is

there. The point of having God is to separate us from this evilness. He, the

almighty God is there to set bounds in everything. Because of God we can

distinguish whether we might be doing the right or the wrong things. Without

God, we could never classify them as good or bad. Then God told us it is bad,

so it is bad. Not just because God told us but we know that it is really is bad.

It is one reason for God’s existence. It is what Josh Wheaton is pushing

through all throughout the movie. It is the best part where it gives me thrills

and creeps.

The aftermath of the movie leaves a positive outlook. That in the end

you never have realized it changed you. That in every single thing you do,

there is certain influenced of rightfulness within. Being deeply moved by the

movie must be the only way of saying it was great. That after the movie you

are surely sure that God’s not dead, He is surely alive. He is living on the

inside roaring like a lion. And that He is good all the time.

God’s Not Dead.

The following are my favorite lines from the movie:

“Only a real risk can test the reality of belief.” - Josh Wheaton

“God is good all the time. And all the time, God is good.” – Pastor

Dave

“It’s not easy, but it’s simple.” – Pastor Dave

“Sometimes the devil allows people to live a life free of trouble

because he doesn’t want them turning to God. Their sin is like a jail

cell, except it is all nice and comfy and there doesn’t seem to be any

reason to leave. The door’s wide open. Till one day, time runs out,

and the cell door slams shut, and suddenly it’s too late.” – Mina’s

mother

“Atheist said that no one can prove the existence of God but no one

can disprove that God exist.” – Josh Wheaton

“My life and my whole eternity belong to God. All this stuff is

temporary. Money, fame, and success are temporary. Even life is

temporary. Jesus that’s eternal.” – Willie Robertson

“Don’t be clever. Be content to tell the truth.” – Pastor Dave

Page 3: Gods Not Dead

“I don’t have time for cancer. I’m too busy.” - Amy

“I think of Jesus as my friend. I don’t want to disappoint Him.” – Josh

Wheaton

“How can you hate someone (God) who is dead?” – Josh Wheaton

“You’re not alone. You’re going to be okay.” – Pastor Dave

“The most committed atheists were once Christians but we took the

blinders off. We saw the world for what it truly is.” – Professor

Radisson

“God’s not dead.” – Students

The following is the statements of Professor Radisson of disproving

God’s existence:

Stephen Hawking said, “because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing.” Why the universe exists? Why we exist? It is not necessary to invoke God to set the universe in motion.

Okay, so the greatest scientific mind in all of history says that God is

not necessary, but a first-semester freshman says, "Oh, yes he is."

Because He took everything away from me. Yes, I hate God.

One day, I will get rid of all the evil in the world. But until then, you

just have to deal with all the wars, and Holocausts, tsunamis,

poverty, starvation, and AlDS. Have a nice life.

Lies, lies, and more lies. It's easy to dismiss what you don't

understand or what you don't want to understand.

That is why, Wheaton, you will find the most committed atheists

were once Christians, but we took the blinders off. We saw the world

for what it truly is.

lf only you would open the Scripture and read, then you would

understand.

The following is the statements of Josh Wheaton of proving God’s existence:

Atheist said that no one can prove the existence of God but no one

can disprove that God exist.

Page 4: Gods Not Dead

In other words, creation happened because God said it should

happen.

So, how do theists explain this sudden outburst of new biological

information? And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures

and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”

Now, it's been said that evil is atheism's most potent weapon against

the Christian faith, and it is.

If God is all-good and God is all-powerful, why does he allow evil to

exist? The answer at its core is remarkably simple: free will. God

allows evil to exist because of free will.

From the Christian standpoint, God tolerates evil in this world on a

temporary basis so that one day, those who choose to love him

freely will dwell with him in heaven, free from the influence of evil,

but with their free will intact.

So, how do theists explain this sudden outburst of new biological

information? And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures

and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”

Natura non facit saltum (Nature does not jump) by Darwin

Darwinists have been saying that God is unnecessary to explain

man's existence and that evolution replaces God, but evolution only

tells you what happens once you have life.
