Prosperity Is God's Idea3Jhn 1:2, Psalm 35:27

God's thought for His children is that we prosper in all things. It has been His plan from the beginning (Gen 1:27). On the other hand, the devil's plan is to frustrate God's plans of prosperity for us in different ways especially by altering our beliefs on this issue. Today, our focus will be on how to walk in the fullness of this covenant of prosperity.

1. “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them” - Shakespeare. Do you think prosperity is meant for only a few people? Discuss.

2. Consider the following scriptural truths about our prosperity;· You cannot be the poor child of a rich God (2Cor 9:8, Pslm 24:1)· Our prosperity is a covenant blessing (Gen 17:2-4, Gal 3:13, Eph 1:3)· God gives you the power for prosperity (Deut 8:18)· God wants to use your blessing to bless others (Gen 12:2)

Prosperity is not an option. It is your covenant right. Therefore believe and take steps towards its manifestation (Gen 1:27).

Prosperity is God's idea2 Cor. 9:8, 3 Jn. 2

It is God's intent for all His children to prosper and He has promised to provide all they could ever need to fulfil His plan for their lives. When God promises prosperity, He sees far beyond meeting our immediate needs, looking beyond our understanding of economic and financial matters to divine empowerment for fruitfulness and multiplication, which makes us immense blessings to others as individuals, nations and even across generations. As Christian business owners, doing business God's way, God's promise of prosperity should be evident in our businesses. Our focus for today is centered on having a better understanding of the prosperity mindset and walking in its consciousness as part of God's plan and manifestation in our lives.

1) As God's children, we have been blessed to be blessings to others. Can you share practical examples on how God has blessed you in time past and the opportunities you have had to be a blessing to others? What vision has He given you in making your business a blessing to your generation?

2) Prosperity is God's intent for His sons and daughters. Below are points that validate

prosperity as God's will and plan for His children.· It is God's desire for you to be successful in all spheres - business, finances, health,

spiritually, mentally, academically (Psa 1:3, 3Jn2)· God is pleased with our success (Psa 35 :27)· We are heirs in Christ (Gal 4:7, 2 Cor 8:9)· It serves as a command (1 Tim 6 18-19)· Mention others.

God's expectation for us as Christian business practitioners is to impact the world with what he has prospered us with. The world has seen us practice faith and do miracles. Now, it is time that God's blessing upon our lives be felt in theirs. Isaiah 60: 13 says 'the glory of lebanon will come to you,the junipers, the fir,the cypress together to adorn my sanctuary and I will glorify the place of my feet'. Verse 22 says 'I will make you everlasting pride and the joy of all generations'. Therefore, let's open up our hearts, remove all limits, position ourselves and receive what God has in store for us using same to bless others. You will succeed in Jesus name. Amen
