Whereas the South Goa Planning & Development
Authority vide letter No. SGPDA/LUM/913/18-19
dated 17-09-2018 has submitted the Present Land
Use Map and Register of Margao Planning Area to
the Town and Country Planning Board. The Town
and Country Planning Board in its 163rd (Adj)
meeting held on 15-10-2018 took the note of the
same.
And whereas the said Present Land Use Map
and Register of Margao Planning Area was
Published and Notified in the Government Official
Gazette, Series III No. 27 dated 04-10-2018 and the
same has been adopted by this Authority.
And whereas the South Goa Planning &
Development Authority vide letter No. SGPDA/ODP-
-M/1368/18-19 dated 28-11-2018 has submitted the
draft ODP-2028 of Margao Planning Area to the Town
and Country Planning Board.
And whereas the Town and Country Planning
Board in its 163rd (Adj) meeting (2nd sitting) held
on 29-11-2018 approved the draft ODP-2028 of
Margao Planning Area under Section 34 of
Town and Country Planning Act, 1974 as conveyed
by the Chief Town Planner (Planning) vide Ref.
No. 36/1/TCP/327/2018/2456 dated 05-12-2018.
And whereas the Government of Goa in exercise
of its power confirmed under Section 34 of Town
and Country Planning Act conveyed its approval
for Draft ODP-2028 of Margao Planning Area.
And whereas after the approval of the ODP-2028
of Margao Planning Area under Section 34 of Town
and Country Planning Act, 1974 the Notice of
preparation of Draft ODP of Margao Planning Area
was published under Section 35(1) of Town and
Country Planning Act, 1974 vide Notification
No. SGPDA/ODP-M/1393/18-19 dated 05-12-2018
published in Government Official Gazette, Series III
No. 36 dated 06-12-2018 informing the general
public to give their objections/suggestions, if any,
within a period of two months from the date of the
publication of the said notification in the Official
Gazette.

And whereas after hearing the objections/
/suggestions, by the Committee constituted by the
Authority for said purpose, the said Committee
submitted its report to the Authority under Section
35(6) of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1974
and the Authority in its 76th Authority meeting
held on 28-02-2019 considered the report and made
modification/alterations in the said ODP as it
considered proper and thereafter unanimously
resolved to approve the ODP-2028 of Margao
Planning Area.
And whereas ODP-2028 of Margao Planning Area
was submitted to the Town and Country Planning
Board for consideration under Section 36 of Town
and Country Planning Act, 1974 letter Ref. No.
SGPDA/ODP-2028(M)/3444/18-19 dated 28-02-2019.
The said ODP-2028 of Margao Planning Area was
placed before 165th meeting of the Goa Town and
Country Planning Board held on 01-03-2019 and
the Board recommended its approval for the same.
And whereas approval of the Government under
Section 36 of Town and Country Planning Act, 1974
is communicated by the Chief Town Planner
(Planning) vide Order No. 36/1/TCP/357/2019/751
dated 07-03-2019.
And whereas under Section 37(1) of Town and
Country Planning Act, 1974 the Publication of
Notification of the ODP-2028 of Margao Planning
Area is notified and shall come into operation under
Section 37(3) of Town and Country Planning Act,
1974 from date of publication of this notification.
The said ODP-2028 of Margao Planning Area shall
be subject to the provisions of “The Goa Land
Development & Building Regulation 2010” as
amended from time to time.
And whereas this Authority now therefore is
informing the general public that the copy of the
ODP-2028 of Margao Planning Area shall be
available for the inspection at the office of the South
Goa Planning & Development Authority at
Margao-Goa as per the convenience of the public
on working days during office hours.
And whereas the ODP-2028 of Margao Planning
Area may also be inspected at the office of Margao
Municipal Council, Margao-Goa during office hours.
