18th AnnualEntertainment Law Initiative® Luncheon
Presented By The
Co-Sponsored By
The ABA Forum on theEntertainment and Sports Industries
The GRAMMY Foundation was established in 1988 to cultivate the
understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution
of recorded music to American culture — from the artistic and
technical legends of the past to the still unimagined musical
breakthroughs of future generations of music professionals. The
Foundation accomplishes this mission through programs and
activities that engage the music industry and cultural community
as well as the general public. The Foundation works in partnership
year-round with The Recording Academy to bring national attention
to important issues such as the value and impact of music and arts
education and the urgency of preserving our rich cultural heritage.

The Entertainment Law Initiative®
2016 Executive CommitteeHenry Root, ELI Executive Committee Chair
The GRAMMY Foundation®, in concert with some of the nation’s most prominent entertainment attorneys, has established the Entertainment Law Initiative® (ELI) to promote discussion and debate about the most compelling legal issues facing the music industry today.
One of the premier educational initiatives is the national legal writing contest and scholarship program, which is co-sponsored by the American Bar Association. Law students from across the country have been invited to research, analyze and submit essays regarding important issues facing our industry. On February 12, 2016, the 18th annual ELI Luncheon will recognize the winning students and provide a forum for interaction with successful attorneys in the field.
Your participation in the Entertainment Law Initiative is vital to ensure that our educational goals are achieved and the project becomes an integral part of GRAMMY® Week festivities for many years to come. Please make your plans to attend.
