PRAYER under Grace

“Whatever you

ask you will

receive.”

“Whatever you

desire, ask,

and it will be

done for you.”

Matthew 21:22 says, “all things, whatsoever ye shall

ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

Mark 11:24 says, “What things soever ye desire, when

ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have

them.”

Luke 11:9,10 says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye

shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one

that asketh receiveth.”

John 15:7; 16:23, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye

shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you….Whatsoever

ye shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it you.”

“I am not sent

but unto the

lost sheep of the

house of Israel”

(Matt. 15:24).

“From that time

Jesus began to

preach, and to say,

Repent: for the

kingdom of heaven

is at hand”

(Matt. 4:17).

Isa. 65:20,24,25: “The child shall die a hundred years

old…And it shall come to pass, that before they call,

I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the

lion shall eat straw like the bullock.”

“The wolf shall dwell with the

lamb, and the leopard shall lie

down with the kid; and the calf

and the young lion…the nursing

child shall play by the cobra’s

hole, and the weaned child

shall put his hand in the

viper’s den” (Isa. 11:6,8).

Acts 4:29-31: “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and

grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak

thy Word, by stretching forth Thine hand to heal; and that signs

and wonders may be done….And when they had prayed, the

place was shaken where they were assembled together; and

they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the

Word of God with boldness.”

“And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause

you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my

judgments, and do them” (Ezek. 36:27).

“Is any sick among you?...The prayer of faith shall save the

sick, and the Lord shall raise him up” (5:15).

“James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad” (1:1).

“Let him ask of God,

that giveth to all

men liberally… and

it shall be given

him” (James 1:5).

In God’s plans and purposes, the nation of Israel has been

temporarily set aside. And Israel’s promises under the

Law, including her prayer promises, are set aside also,

and don’t work today for the Body of Christ under grace.

“I will pray with the understanding" (1 Cor. 14:15).

Paul wrote thirteen letters, Romans to Philemon, and we

never read one prayer promise like “Whatever you ask you

will receive,” or “ask what you desire and it will be done.”

Instead we read that “We do not know what to pray for as we

ought” (Rom. 8:26).

Under grace, we are to “Be

careful for nothing, but in

every thing by prayer and

supplication with thanksgiving

let your requests be made

known unto God…”

And not whatsoever ye ask in

prayer, believing, ye shall receive!

Instead “…and the peace of God,

which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds

through Christ Jesus” (Phil.

4:6,7).

Under grace, we pray knowing “we have boldness and

access with confidence by the [faithfulness] of [Christ”

(Eph. 3:12).

Under grace, we pray knowing God always wants us to turn

to Him in prayer, and to “pray without ceasing” (I Thes. 5:17).

Under grace we pray knowing God is “able to do exceeding

abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph. 3:20),

according to His perfect will.

In Romans 8:22, we see that the “whole creation groaneth.”

Then in verse 23 that “even we ourselves groan within

ourselves.”

Then in verse 26 we see that the Spirit groans within us,

“with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Today’s it’s many times “Lord I do not even know what or how to

ask,” and the Spirit helps and groans within us, conveying the

needs of our heart, and intercedes on our behalf.

And we pray according to God’s will, trusting He is working all

things together for good.

Today, prayer is not

receiving whatever

we ask in prayer,

believing.

“For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart

from me.

“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my

strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore

will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may

rest upon me.”

2 Corinthians 12:7-9:

“And lest I should be exalted

above measure through the

abundance of the revelations,

there was given to me a thorn in

the flesh, the messenger of

Satan to buffet me…

“When ye pray,

use not vain

repetitions, as

the heathen

do....Be not ye

therefore like

unto them”

(Matt. 6:8,9).

“After this manner therefore pray ye”

(Matt. 6:9).

“Our Father which art in heaven.”

“Hallowed be thy name.”

“Thy kingdom come.”

“Thy will be done in earth,

as it is in heaven.”

“Give us this day our daily bread.”

“Forgive us our [sin] debts,

as we forgive our debtors.”

“And lead us not into temptation.”

“But deliver us from evil [the evil one].”

“For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and

the glory, forever. Amen.”

Ephesians

3:14 says,

“For this

cause I bow

my knees

unto the

Father of our

Lord Jesus

Christ.”
