Rome holds the VATICAN MUSEUMS and the SISTINE CHAPEL, world famous for Michelangelo’s ceiling paintings, monumental ST. Assisi, Italy
Assisi is a small Umbrian town in central Italy and best known as the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi — patron saint of Italy, founder of the Franciscan order, and one of the most popular Catholic saints in history. Assisi's main attraction is the 13th-century Basilica di San Francesco, which contains the sacred relics of Francis and beautiful frescoes of his life. The town of Assisi, with its Roman ruins, winding medieval streets, and sacred shrines has been a major Catholic pilgrimage destination for centuries and is today one of the most popular destinations in Italy. Nice, France
The city of Nice is located on the French Riviera in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Blessed by a sunny, temperate climate, Nice attracts visitors from around the world. Lourdes, France
is the most visited pilgrimage shrine in the Christian world and the site of a Marian apparition in 1858 to the 14-year old Bernadette Soubirous. Four to six million pilgrims visit the shrine each year, from around the world, and it is estimated that more than 200 million pilgrins have come to Lourdes since 1860. Guided walking tour includes a visit the grotto, the Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine and St. Bernadette’s birthplace and family home.
Burgos, Spain
Burgos was founded in 884 and its historical heritage is immediatelty evident to the visitor. It is a monumental town, charming for its medieval northern Castilian ambience, its gothic Cathedral, Cartuja de Miraflores, and the Monastery of Las Huelgas. Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Santiago is a charming Galician town. Its magnificent Cathedral is the reputed burial-place of Apostle St. James and the destination of The Way of St. James, a major historical pilgrimage route since the Middle Ages. Guided sightseeing includes the cathedral.
Fatima, Portugal
Fatima is famous for the religious visions that took place there in 1917. The Shrine is called the Basilica of our Lady of the Rosary, name the Virgin Mary chose when she appeared to local peasants children in a pasture called Cova da Iria. Orientation includes visits to the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine and the Chapel of the Apparitions
