The weather didnt exactly cooperate as well as in past years, but we adjusted the locaons of some of the events and made it work. The kids, faculty, and staff had a great me. We recognized our 8th grade Faith Family Leaders today. We appreciate their service and dedicaon they have provided over the years. We also thank all of the parent volunteers. UPCOMING LUTHERAN SOUTH SPRING CONCERTS Friday, May 3 at 7:30pm Spring Band Concert featuring the Lutheran South Wind Symphony, Concert Band and the Junior Winds, a select band of the best Lutheran elementary school band members in the area. This concert will be held in the Concordia Center at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood. Sunday, May 5 at 7:00pm - Annual “On Broadway” Concert. The concert is set for Sunday evening, May 5, in the Kuhlmann Center at LHSS. Select vocalists will present pre-concert music starting soon after 7:00pm, with the full program beginning at 7:30pm. Featured will be the Lancer Singers, including Green Park alums Lindsay Miller, Gordon Ko, and Josh Stroups, along with auditioned soloists. A free will offering will be received and a reception will follow the program. All are welcome.

DUTCH TOUCH SOCCER CAMP AT LUTHERAN SOUTH Lutheran South will host soccer coaches from Holland for a once-in-a-lifetime camp on June 24 through June 27. The Camp will be lead by world-class Dutch Instructor, Jan Pruijn. Along with a staff of other talented US and Dutch Federation coaches, the Dutch Touch camp creates a training atmosphere similar to that of top youth soccer programs in Europe. There will be more than 10 hours of instruction from top European coaches and staff. This is one of the many camps offered this summer. We look forward to seeing you!

JOB OPENING AT LESA The Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA) is seeking a part-time Communication Specialist to develop and maintain all community outreach activities. The ideal candidate will represent LESA and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase LESA’s visibility within the community through messaging, promotion, and resource development. The ideal candidate is a Christian individual holding bachelor’s degree with minimum of two-years’ experience in a nonprofit agency (helpful, but not required); experience with or knowledge of Lutheran education is a plus, excellent inter- and intra-personal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time-management skills, with ability to be responsible and take initiative with minimal supervision; strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is a must. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule and some opportunities for working remotely, and would be perfect for a parent who loves Lutheran education. APRIL-MAY CHAPEL OFFERINGS TO BENEFIT FEED MY PEOPLE Our chapel offerings for the rest of the year will be going to Feed My People. Feed My People was started in 1982 as a way to help people in the South County area needing food. Today, Feed My People has over 25 programs, including a Thrift Store at each location as primarily a service to their clients, but also open to the public. This organization serves 16 different zip codes in the St. Louis area and helps over 80,000 people each year. Feed My People is supported by donations from individuals, schools, churches, businesses, foundations and community groups. Please help us support their service to our community!

SUMMER CAMP AT PEACE Peace Lutheran Church will be offering a summer camp beginning on May 29th for children ages 5 to 12. There will be several field trips, sports, games and crafts.
