When it comes to developing new rescue

tools, Holmatro does not focus only on

performance. Ergonomics and ease-

of-use are equally important. After all

it’s the rescuer working with these tools

who we should enable to save lives in

the fastest and easiest way possible. By

observing our customers during field tests

and asking for their feedback, our R&D

department gets ideas to develop new

product solutions. This is how the new

design innovations were developed for

the Inclined Cutter.

Optimal ergonomics

Some cutting procedures in vehicle

rescue put physical stress on the

operator; like cutting a truck cabin or the

roof of a car, when you need to lift the tool

high up. Or applications that force you to

bend over deeply, like cutting the rocker

panel. Where lighter tools significantly

ease the burden, the Inclined Cutter can

eliminate it! Simply put, the angle jaw of

our Inclined Cutter is in the right position

for optimal ergonomic cutting.

More space

In addition, the unique design of this

cutter leaves more space for movement

of the tool towards the car when cutting

A- and B-pillars from the side. Tool

repositioning is reduced, so rescuers

can work faster and easier. And, with a

carrying handle that goes all-around the

tool, you can always use this cutter in the

optimal position, all around the car.

Lightweight Spreader is a story in itself.

Our R&D department was not just trying

to comply with international standards

such as EN 13204 and NFPA 1936.

To completely meet the needs of the

users, this spreader was developed

entirely on the basis of the demanding

requirements of real-world applications.

This has resul ted in an exceptional

extricate a trapped victim.

Successfully tested on the latest

car models

Our Compact Lightweight Spreader

has been tested extensively on the

latest car prototypes and has proved

its worth, time and time again. It offers

every spreading capability you need

when dealing with new car construction.

We believe this is more important than

meeting all international standards

performance requirements. Having

said that, even though the Compact

Lightweight Spreader was not designed

on the basis of these standards, it fully

complies with all relevant requirements

of NFPA 1936 and, except for the

spreading distance, EN 13204.
