Summer Class List Cut Loose with Creative Grids

Greetings from The Round Bobbin! Finally! Spring has arrived in all its glory, and it could not have come soon enough for me. It seemed to be such a long winter! We did, however have a wonderfully creative time here at the Bobbin. Many of you took our classes and came out for all our special events! For that, Thank you! We love seeing those smiles when you walk through the door!

We’ve planned a great Spring/Summer session for you! We’ve included a little bit of everything from pieced quilts to table runners to bags and wallets to an ADORABLE Cuddle Monster Nap Wrap. You HAVE to come in to see the sample!

We’re also doing a series called Cut Loose with Creative Grids. These days, they’re creating rulers for just about everything! But, who REALLY knows how to use them to their full advantage? We’re gonna take care of that! Storm and Sharleen will lead you through four of the latest and greatest from Creative Grids. These will be hands-on classes that will fully equip you to become proficient with each of the respective rulers, AND you’ll be on your way to a FINISHED project! Join us for these great classes. There will be NO class fee, but registration is required, and you will need to purchase a ruler. There is also a minimal pattern fee for the Cut Loose patterns from Checker.

In June look for a new pick-up BOM called ”Shades Remembered”. This is a Gina Gempesaw original, and we’re very excited and proud to offer it to you. Read on for more info on that.

Also, if you have not seen or heard of it already, be sure not to miss Gretchen Gibbons’ new Christmas BOM entitled “All is Bright”. It is absolutely magical!! Gretchen has definitely done it again, and we’re so honored to have her call The Round Bobbin home!

I’m off to Quilt Market this week and promise to bring back all kinds of goodies! We always want more, right? Stop in soon to see what’s new.

Tuffet Class Here’s something new! We’re always looking for different ways to use fabric, right? Wouldn’t it be fun to use our favorites to make a piece of furniture? Over two sessions, Julie will guide you in making a unique tuffet! If you know how to use a rotary cutter, and if you can sew a straight line, this class will be fun, fun, fun!

In the first class you will learn the technique to make the tuffet cover. You will go home and finish the cover before the second class. Then, you’ll come back, and we’ll put it all together! We’re talking upholstery! It’s easy AND beautiful, and Julie will guide you through the entire process.

Kit Includes: 18 x 6’ round upholstery foam plywood circle with drilled holes, upholstery batting, 2 ½” button form, 4 t-bolts
