  • REGISTRATION INFORMATIONPlease review this section carefully as it contains valuable information about program registration. Unless specifically stated, GSHNJ programs are for registered members only. Programs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and must be completed through our online registration system, eBiz. If you have questions on how to register for a program, our eBiz team can be reached at: email: [email protected] phone: 908-518-4400, press 1

    AGE LEVELSThroughout this program guide, the grade/age levels will be color-coded and denoted in the following way:

    HOW TO REGISTER1. Decide which program(s) you wish to attend.

    2. Be aware of the registration closing date for your event.

    3. Go to gshnj.org and click on Registration.

    4. Log in and click on the Activities tab on the top left-hand side.

    5. Type all or part of the name of your desired program in the white search box on the right side of the page. A list of search results will appear; click view all and all results will appear on one page.

    6. Click on the program name and click Register Now.

    7. Follow the prompts and select who you wish to register.

    8. Check out, and process your payment.

    9. You will receive an email confirmation.

    CHAPERONE POLICYIf you are attending a GSHNJ Program as an individual girl, you must have an adult chaperone accompany you. Unless specifically indicated, no GSHNJ Programs are drop-off events.

    If you are attending a GSHNJ Program as a troop/group, you must begin with two unrelated adult chaperones (both with cleared background checks on file; one of whom is female) and may add additional adults according to minimum safety ratios as outlined in Volunteer Essentials.

    GOING BATTY AT LINCOLN CAVERNSSaturday, August 1 - Sunday, August 2Lincoln Caverns7703 William Penn Hwy, Huntingdon, PA 16652Cost: $130/girl $130/adultTravel with us to spend two fun days exploring Lincoln Caverns in PA. Well hop on the bus at WSC in North Branch and journey together to the caverns where well spend the afternoon exploring the caves, rocks, minerals, and fossils. After a night in a nearby hotel, well return to the caverns for a program all about bats! We return to WSC Sunday evening.All female adults welcome. Min. 2 people per room; max. 4 per room. One adult required in each room.Pack a lunch to eat on the bus. Sunday breakfast and lunch included. Bring money for dinner on Saturday and Sunday.     OPERATION SHOEBOX PACKING PARTYSaturday, September 19 Two arrival times of 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.Somerset County YMCA 140 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920Cost: FREEJoin us in this fun service opportunity to help Operation Shoebox pack boxes to send support, snacks and much needed personal care items to our troops deployed outside of the USA. We encourage all girls and families to participate in this community service event! If you have the address of someone deployed, bring it with you to the event.     BETWEEN EARTH & SKY JOURNEY JUMP STARTSaturday, October 24, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.East Service CenterCost: $10/girl $10/adultGet a jump start in your Blue Bucket Award by completing the first two chapters of your Between Earth and Sky journey with us!. Become acquainted or re-acquainted with all of your flower friends, have fun on a short nature walk, play a game or two, read the first chapter of A Road Trip to Remember and just have fun.   • GSHNJ now offers opportunities for your troop or group to participate in council-led programming when and where YOU want it! Just choose a program from the list below and contact the corresponding Program Specialist to begin the reservation process!

    HOW IT WORKS Programs must be ordered a minimum of three weeks in advance of requested date. You must provide a venue for the program. GSHNJ Service Centers and camps are available for these programson a limited basisfree of charge. Program Specialists can provide availability information for Council properties. A $50 refundable deposit is required to reserve free ON DEMAND programs. Your refund will be issued when minimum attendance is met and evaluations are received; or, if you cancel your reservation at least one week in advance of your reservation date. Any changes to reservations must be made a minimum of one week prior by contacting the appropriate Program Specialist. All standard GSHNJ Program Policies are in effect for ON DEMAND programs.

    Are you going to be a Girl Scout Cadette in the fall of 2015? Are you interested in exploring robotics, technology, and creative problem solving? Making new friends who like the same stuff you do? Working on a team project in a friendly, competitive atmosphere? Then this might be the place for you! FIRST LEGO League teams work together over the course of several months to build a robot that can complete a challenge course and do a research project on a contemporary real-world issue related to that challenge. They then compete against other teams in the area based on their robots skills, their project, and how well they work together.

    There is only room for 10 girls on GSHNJs team, so were holding a lottery. Everyone who is interested in joining the teamand can commit to the schedule listed belowshould register on eBiz by June 30, 2015. Girls will be notified on July 2nd of the lottery results, and will have until July 7th to register for the team.
