Your Guide to MAXIMUM Fun this Fall!

How do I register? Lac du Bonnet: Drop by our office at 25 McArthur Ave during regular office hours OR

Mail your registration to: Box 852 Lac du Bonnet, MB R0E 1A0

Pinawa: Drop by our office at the LGD Building (east of Pinawa mall) during regular office hours OR

We also have a drop box at the Pinawa Community Centre (right beside the Library)

* Registration (including payment) must be submitted by the program registration deadline date. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum numbers are not met.

Holidays/School Closures: During holidays or school closures due to inclement weather or administration days, recreation programs will not run.

Refund Policy: For ongoing programs, a refund may be requested after the first class. A full refund minus a $15 registration fee will be returned. Refunds will not be available after the second class. For single day programs, refunds will be available if requested 5 days

prior to the program start date.

The Winnipeg River Recreation District

Who we are: The Winnipeg River Recreation District is a community based organization with representation on its Board of Directors from the Town of Lac du Bonnet, RM of Lac du Bonnet, LGD of Pinawa, Sunrise School Division, and the School District of Whiteshell. The Commission has been in existence since March of 1981. It provides services to all residents in all age groups represented by the board.

What we do: Provide recreation opportunities for residents. Serve as a community resource. Promote healthy communities.

How we do it: Providing programs and services Coordinating and organizing activities Fostering positive working relationships between the communities by promoting inter-community activities Participating in local, regional and provincial organizations Promoting, educating, and communicating about healthy living

After years of marriage, new excitement can be found together on the dance floor. It’s a “shot in the arm”. It encourages the spark of romance for stressed out, tension-plagued people. It’s great for keeping a marriage interesting and long lasting. Learn different techniques in leading and following, including: basic footwork, dance positions and connections all the while benefiting from this great physical activity. Start as a beginner OR build up your skills! No dance experience is required. If you are looking for a fun new way to exercise, consider taking a dance class. We offer classes from ages 3 to Teen and there will be a recital at the end to showcase all that you have learned. The recital is optional; you don’t have to perform, just take the classes and have fun. No previous dance experience is required to take these classes.

Traditional Painting

Traditional painting is a step-by-step method incorporating the use of an oil painting medium as the old masters once did. This method allows you to add a lot more detail to your work while building confidence and self-esteem as you develop your own personal style and enjoy a relaxing pastime. No experience is necessary. All supplies are included. Participants are advised to bring a lunch and one roll of paper towel.
