The influence of hydrophilcity of the microcapsule shell on water retention capacity

Background Importence of water to PEM
The linear coefficient of proton conductivity to water uptake is 0.83.Highly related to vehicle-mechanism proton transport and Grotthuss-menchanism proton transport.

Introduction of my ongoing work
It is assumed that the degree of hydrophilicity of the microcapsule shell is essential factor affecting water-retention capacity of polymer microcapsule.
This work will contribute to understanding the relationship between hydrophilcity of the microcapsule shell and its water retention capacity .

Water retention is a vital property for diverse applicationsWithout a doubt, high water retention is urgently required for PEMs to achieve high performance and long lifetimesBound waterwater that is bound to the polymer chain via interactions with polar and ionic groups and shows an restricted mobility within the membrane free water water that is not intimately bound to the polymer chain and behaves like bulk wateri.e.a sharp melting point at around 0
