So why choose anything over AdSense?

Yes Google AdSense can net you significant amount of money, but at the same time you must consider:

Better rates: Depending on your site’s niche, some networks may net a bigger income.

Content: What you want to display is not allowed by their network.

Every click is a potential lost customer: Every click on an ad displayed on your page sends them away to a service related to your own.

Some people dislike sharing all their information with Google: Your personal info is closely tied with all your other Google accounts, make a bad mistake and that can lead you to getting:

Banned: And you may no longer receive checks and payments from Google under your name.

Comparing Advantages: AdSense vs. Affiliate Marketing

Google AdSenseAdvantages:

- Automated: Ads are generated based around the content you are providing.

- Free Ads: AdSense and most of its competitors will give you around $100 to start your website out when you sign up with them.

- Honest: Ads are random, so the content of your site will not be aimed at selling a product.

Comparing Advantages: AdSense vs. Affiliate Marketing

Google AdSenseDisadvantages:

- Automated: You have no control over your ads. Your competitors will be advertising on YOUR website.

- Heavy Limitations: There is a large list of “stuff” that will get you removed from those networks.

- CPC vs CPM: The decision for what option to take is on a very random case-by-case scenario, you will have to experiment.
