BIBLE ALIVE COMING SEPTEMBER 9–10Mark September 9-10 on your calendar for “Bible Alive,” an aid to understanding God’s Word in its original historical, cultural, geographical, literary, and visual context. Sessions are 7:00–9:45pm Friday and 9:00am–12:15pm Saturday. Cost is $10 per session for adults, $5 per session for students. COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY BEGINS SOONFirst Pres hosts Community Bible Study, an inter-denominational Bible study for community men and women. Hollis Academy is looking for people to spend approximately one hour per month (mid-September through mid-May) to read to first grade classes during class visits to the media center. THE WORLD AT OUR DOOR...The Cross Culture Network Southern Hospitality Banquet will be held in Fellowship Hall Friday, September 16, 6:30–8:30pm, for about 100 students from around the world. Prayer Ministry, George MooreEXPLORING THE POWER OF HEALING PRAYER
Registration has begun for this one-day conference on prayer to be led by Rev. John Rice on Saturday, September 24. Rev. Rice will discuss subjects relating to the Holy Spirit, healing, prayer, and forgiveness. The $15 registration fee will cover continental breakfast and lunch. Childcare will be available. We want to help by providing you with the understanding, support, and encouragement you need during your grieving process.
