Thankyou,Donors!
A huge THANK YOU to ALL of our 1,006 community donors. We wish we had room to acknowledge each and every one of you here!
With your support, we are going to give an advocate to EVERY child in need!
Within the next five years, all 702 children in Lane County who need a CASA volunteer will have one, thanks to our innovative new program model.
This year, we trained our first four volunteer Peer Coordinators. These are skilled, experienced volunteers who each “coach” 3-5 CASA volunteers with the support of a staff Program Supervisor.
We have historically had to hire one staff supervisor for every 30 CASA volunteers. Now we can afford to more than double our capacity thanks to the addition of Peer Coordinators. We will serve the 400 children still on our waiting list while reducing costs by 40% per child.
• Our first 4 Peer Coordinators were trained and assigned• 33 new CASA volunteers were trained, and each will be
coached by a Peer Coordinator• We presented our model at the National CASA Conference,
educating CASA organizations nationwide that are interested in a similar transition
• The National CASA Association published a manual based on our experience as a national resource for CASA programs
• Train 12 new Peer Coordinators, a 300% increase• Train 50 new volunteer advocates, a 67% increase• Advocate for 330 children, a 17% increase
