In the Philippines, the image of the Filipina has also evolved from yester-day’s Maria Clara era to today’s cosmopolitan, multi-talented, intelligent, socially-active – and still stunningly beautiful – Modern Filipina. PAGCOR’s Miss Casino Filipino Pageant 2012 is a tribute to the Modern Filipina and the Filipina Icons whose virtues and ideals have become the country’s symbols of unique Filipino culture and values. Miss Casino Filipino will embody the best in a Filipina as well as the best in the Philippines with her advocacy statement. The competition will promote personal growth and development among the contestants by:

• Providing financial assistance in the form of cash prizes and employment opportunities to young Filipinas; • Recognizing and honoring the traditional Filipino traits of honesty, good character, talent, poise, intellect, leadership and good judgment in the young Filipinas who enter the competition; and• Enabling the Candidates to serve as role models for other young women with similar goals and personal characteristics.

What makes “Miss Casino Filipino” distinct from all the other beauty contests is that the competi-tion is adopting the Contestant’s “My Filipina Icon”. Each candidate will be required to identify and submit her chosen Filipina Icon (living or deceased) along with a Brief Statement as to what charac-teristics made her choose her Filipina Icon and how she influenced the candidate’s life. The con-testant will also identify the advocacy or cause she supports and explain her reasons for choosing it. This will define her role as the face of Casino Filipino. She will be Casino Filipino’s ambassadress of goodwill and will help promote the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects of PAGCOR. A beautiful woman with a heart to serve – she is the Modern Filipina, she is Miss Casino Filipino.

How will Miss Casino Filipino 2012 be CHosen?

Judging criteria will be based on Beauty of Body and Face (35%), Intelligence (20%), Poise and Elegance (20%) and Over-all Impact (25%). The Organizers are looking for

a well-rounded woman with principles and one who can be a good role model.

INTELLIGENCE (20%) This question and answer portion is designed to give the judges an opportunity to learn more about the candidate. It

would help the judge assess the candidate’s ability to express her-self and defend her beliefs. (Only applicable to semi-finalists).

This criteria will be scored 100% by the Judges during the Coronation Night.

MISS CASINO FILIPINO 2012 CONCEPT PAPER

POISE AND ELEGANCE (20%) This phase of the competition is an opportunity to showcase the candidate’s ability to carry a Long Gown with poise, confidence and elegance. It is not the beauty of the gown alone that will be judged, but how the contestant carries it as well. Fifty percent of the score will come from the results of the Long Gown pre-pageant Competition while the other 50% will come from the scores to be given by the Judges during the Coronation Night.

BEAUTY OF BODY AND FACE (35%) The Swimsuit competition is the Judges’ basis for determining a contestant’s physical fitness and confidence. These are qualities Miss Casino Filipino will need in fulfilling her duties.

OVER-ALL IMPACT (25%) This shows the kind of impact the candidate has on the audience. That includes her beauty, bearing and confidence. This criteria will be 100% scored by the Judges during the Coronation Night.

Each branch will select three (3) representatives to the Miss Casino Filipino 2012 Grand Coronation Night. The grand pageant night will be held on November 16, 2012 (Fri-

day), 8:00 p.m. at the PAGCOR Grand Theater of Airport Casino Filipino.

Grand finalists in the provincial branches will be brought to Manila courtesy of PAGCOR. They will be joined by the other grand finalists from Casino

Filipino’s Metro Manila branches. They will all be billeted at the Offi-cial Residence of the Miss Casino Filipino at Amvel Condomini-

um, also courtesy of PAGCOR.

• Candidate must be a citizen of the Philippines or has been residing in the country in the last six months before the start of the contest’s official rehearsal schedule. She will be required to sub-mit two proofs of identification.

• Candidate must be at least 18 years of age at the time of participation in the contest’s prelim-inary round of the local or national competition, She must not be more than 25 years of age by October 1, 2012. She is required to submit a copy of her birth certificate.

• Candidate agrees to abide by all existing rules of the “Miss Casino Filipino” beauty pageant.

• Candidate must be single, born female and has never given birth.

• Candidate must be of good moral character and has not been convicted of any crime.

• Candidate must possess poise, personality, intelligence, inward & outward charm.

• Candidate must choose a Filipina Icon (living or deceased) who serves as her model and inspiration.

• For the talent portion in the preliminary and final judging, the candidate can sing, dance, play a musical instrument, perform dramatic reading, etc. PERFORMANCE IN THE TALENT PORTION IS LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF TWO MINUTES ONLY. The presentation must be performed live.

• A “Best in Talent” Special Award will be given during the Grand Coronation Night. The talent portion, however, shall not be considered a parameter in determining the pageant winner.

• The candidate agrees that if she is among those selected at the Branch-level, she will move on to the Miss Casino Filipino 2012 Grand Coronation Night to represent the branch where

she was selected.

• Candidates selected at the Branch-level will be provided with transportation and accomodation within Metro Manila from the pre-pageant week until the Grand Cor-

onation Night. Pick-up points shall be at the branch where they were chosen as grand finalist.

• A candidate agrees that if she is among those selected top winners of the Miss Casino Filipino 2012 pageant, she will complete her reign

until the crowning of the next Miss Casino Filipino. She also agrees to perform all her duties and responsibilities as a

spokesperson and image model of Casino Filipino.

MISS CASINO FILIPINO 2012 RULES & REGULATIONS

• Five (5) winners will be selected during the Grand Coronation Night with the corresponding prizes:

TITLE PRIZE Miss Casino Filipino 2012 Php 500,000.00 cash Miss Casino Filipino 1st Runner-up Php 400,000.00 cash Miss Casino Filipino 2nd Runner-up Php 300,000.00 cash Miss Casino Filipino 3rd Runner-up Php 200,000.00 cash Miss Casino Filipino 4th Runner-up Php 100,000.00 cash

• Grand winners will receive 50% of the cash prize right after the pageant. Full payment of the remaining 50% cash prize will be divided into 12 equal amounts and will be paid to the winners on a monthly basis.

• The Top 5 Winners will commit to a three-appearance deal free of charge for PAGCOR events and/or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) undertakings. Succeeding bookings will entail corre-sponding honoraria of at least Php 5,000 per appearance.

• Other Special Awards with corresponding Cash Prizes are the following:

• Miss Casino Filipino 2012 will not sign a management contract with any individual or corpo-ration and she will not give any written or verbal endorsement of a mercantile commodity or com-mercial organization, nor will she permit any photographs to be used in connection with any adver-tised commodity or service not associated with this contest without the permission of the PAGCOR Board of Directors through PAGCOR’s Assistant VP for Entertainment.
