My crazy adventures continue! Ω Building a rain water catchment tank! Our main focus in going to Haiti was to build a 10,000 liter rain water catchment tank that collects water from a soon to be clinic roof each time it rains. While we were building the tank we lived in the village of Balega which is considered to be in the 5th section which is the poorest area of Haiti. This village is also where many Haitians lost their lives due to the cholera outbreak that happened not too long ago. While we were there, we did our best to teach them how to build a tank so they can continue to build more in the future. We did a lot of community development with the village.. they lack the basic knowledge as to why they need to do things like wash their hands, why they should drink clean water and why they shouldn't throw trash in their rivers and such.. etc For many it was also the first time that they heard about who God is, as we tried to demonstrate His character while living in the village. It rains heaps in Haiti so this tank will be continually full allowing them easy access to clean water. Trip to Haiti with Water For Life: Clean water: A luxury we take for granted! Building a rain water catchment tank!

Our main focus in going to Haiti was to build a 10,000 liter rain water catchment tank that collects water from a soon to be clinic roof each time it rains. While we were building the tank we lived in the village of Balega which is considered to be in the 5th section which is the poorest area of Haiti. A LITTLE WONDER:

Haiti was such an enjoyable experience for me. I had no plans to ever go back but I am so glad that I did! Last time I was there we worked a lot with a tent city that had been moved from Port Au Prince after the earthquake. I was brought to tears when I went to visit them, this time they were in new houses and getting back on their feet. Unfortunately this is not the case for a lot of people in Haiti, Port Au Prince is still swarming with tents from the earthquake over a year ago now. I have so much respect for all the people that are there investing long term in Haiti.

UPDATE ON MEW H E R E A M I ?

A few days after I got back to California from Haiti I got back on the plane to Canada!! I was VERY privileged to be back in Swan to see my friend Becky get married. It was such an honor to be a part of the wedding and such a happy celebration. So stoked for them!!

Here I am again, about to get back on a plane to California. I will be helping lead another DTS program at the end of September. In preparation for this I have been invited to take part in a leadership conference in Kona, Hawaii. I am excited for this opportunity because I will get to meet the founders of YWAM and hopefully gain some of their wisdom!

Please keep me in your prayers as I am having to adjust to a lot of change and uproot over and over again. Thank you so much for everything! I am SO grateful for you!!!
