Specific Part

1 Technical description of the product

The Injection System HB-VMZ is a torque controlled bonded anchor consisting 01 a cartridge with injection mortar HB-VMZ or HB-VMZ Express and an anchor rod with expansion cones and external connection thread (type HB-VMZ-A) or with internal connection thread (type HB-VMZ-IG). The load transler is realised by mechanical interlock 01 several cones in the bonding mortar and then via a combination 01 bonding and Iriction lorces in the anchorage ground (concrete).

The product description is given in Annex A.

2 Specilication of the intended use in accordance with the applicable European Assessment Document

The performances given in Section 3 are only valid il the anchor is used in compliance with the specilications and conditions given in Annex B.

The verilications and assessment methods on which this European Technical Assessment is based lead to the assumption 01 a working lile 01 the anchor 01 at least 50 years. The indications given on the working lile cannot be interpreted as a guarantee given by the producer, but are to be regarded only as a means lor choosing the right products in relation to the expected economically reasonable working lile 01 the works.

Check expiration date on H8-VMZ cartridge . Never use when expired. Remove cap from HB-VMZ cartridge. Screw Mixer Nozzle HB-VM-X on cartridge . When using a new cartridge always use a new Mixer Nozzle. Never use cartridge without Mixer Nozzle and never use Mixer Nozzle without helix inside.

Insert cartridge in Dispenser. Before injecting discard mortar (at least 2 full strokes or a line of 10 cm) until it shows a consistent grey colour. Never use this mortar.

Prior to injection, check if Mixer Nozzle HB-VM-X reaches the boUom of the drill hole. If it ""---""H does not reach the boUom, plug Mixer Ex1ension HB-VM-XE onto Mixer Nozzle in order

to fill the drill hole properly. Fill hole with a suffieient quantity of injection mortar. Start *~~~1I from the boUom of the drill hole and work out to avoid trapping air pockets.

Insert the anchor rod HB-VMZ-A by hand, rotating slightly up to the full embedment depth as marked on the anchor rod. The anchor rod is properly set when excess mortar see ps from the hole. If the hole is not completely filled , pull out anchor rod, let mortar eure , drill out hole and repeat entire cleaning process.
