FEE 2014-15

SEMESTERWISE FEE FOR VARIOUS COURSES OFFERED BY JAMIA HAMDARD All fees should be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Jamia Hamdard payable at New Delhi or deposited in cash in Finance Section of the University. Discount on Course Fee Following discount shall be applicable to those who prfere to deposit the course fee in advance:

I year fee: 2% discount 2 years fee: 5% discount 3 years fee: 10% discount 4 years fee: 12% discount 5 years fee: 15% discount

A student can avail discount in subsequent years as well for the remaining period of course.

All newly admitted students shall be required to pay the semester fee at the time of

taking admission. Fee for subsequent semesters shall be deposited by 31st of December and 31st July, according to semester.

Note:

The students from Iraq and Tibet will pay US $ 2000 for BSc (Hons.) Nursing and US $ 1000 for DGNM as an annual fee.

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) sponsored candidates, the fee structure is applicable as per the fee structure of Jamia Hamdard Prospectus- 2008-09. Details of the fee may be obtained from Foreign Students Advisor. It was also resolved that Foreign Students Advisor may obtain a list of fee structure from ICCR. The fee of ICCR sponsored candidates may be fixed as per the list.

Except for those Sponsored by ICCR, all other students belonging to SAARC

countries and Tibetan refugees will pay annual course fee equivalent to fee charged from Indian students under SFS category. Where SFS fee is not available, the fee chargeable will be 50% of the course fee charged from foreign nationals from other than SAARC countries.

ICCR sponsored students who belong to SAARC countries will be charged a per the fee structure mentioned for SAARC students in general and those ICCR

sponsored students who belong to non SAARC nations will be charged with the same fee as mentioned in the Prospectus -2008-09

The fee for supplementary examinations will be charged separately as per rules of the University.

Failure to deposit the course fee in time will attract late fee of Rs. 50/- per day upto one month and 2% per month subject to minimum of Rs.3000/- beyond one month period.

In addition to annual fee there will be Transport charges per year to be paid by the students of all programme of Faculty of Nursing.

In addition to annual fee there will be refundable security deposit of Rs. 10000/- in MSc-Clinical Research Programme.

Annual fee in full will be charged for a course which is taught for six months in the last year of the course.

From teaching and non teaching employees of Jamia Hamdard registered for PhD programme, fees will be charged as per rules.

Additional charges for ICT (Wifi etc.) @ Rs.4000/- per year will be deposited in advance.

Security deposit (refundable) for library shall be Rs.5000/- will be deposited at the time of admission for all courses other than MBBS course.

General Note:

The Hostel fee shall be charged for the whole academic year. In case a candidate is allotted in the middle of academic year, the hostel charges shall be calculated at quarterly basis. Full Hostel charges shall be payable for full quarter or part thereof. (First Quarter: 1st July to 30th September, Second Quarter:1st October to 31st December, Third Quarter: 1st January to 31st March and Fourth Quarter; 1st April to 30th June)

A hostler will have to deposit an amount of Rs. 10000/- as Hostel Security

Money. The Security money will not be refunded if a student over stays in the hostel for more than a month after the last examination held for a particular course.

There will be an increase of 10% in the Annual Hostel Fees in every next academic year.

Mechanical Laundry Facility is available in the University. An allottee will have to deposit Rs. 2475/- (for boys) and Rs. 3300/- (for girls) as annual Laundry charge for washing of clothes as per rules of the University along with Annual Hostel Fee.

Availing the Mess facility will be compulsory for the residents of Jamia

Hamdard Hostels.

Residents will have to vacate the hostel at the end of the academic session (after annual/semester examinations). Seats in the hostel may be re-allotted to the student in the month of July when the new academic session begins.

The student can avail the discount in the subsequent years as well for remaining period of course.

Note for MBBS Fee:

The fee for supplementary examinations will be charged separately as per rules of the University.

The Annual course fee for Second year MBBS and onwards are required to be deposited by the 31st day of July of every years of the academic session, and in case of failure to deposit the course fee in time as prescribed shall be liable to pay fine of Rs 200/- per day upto 30 days and 2% per month or part thereof for another month and thereafter the University may take action accordingly.

Full annual fee will be charged for MBBS Course for the final year which is taught for six months in the last year of the course.

All the fees will be paid through Bank Demand Draft in favor of Jamia Hamdard payable at New Delhi.

No fee concession is available for the students of MBBS Course, however the University offers few Scholarships to eligible students and students can apply and avail the same as per the University norms.

ANNUAL HOSTEL FEE FOR MBBS PROGRAMME

University has following two hostels for MBBS students:

Ibn-e-Batuta (Boys Hostel) Abdul Mueed Hall of Residency (AMHR,Girls Hostel)

These hostels are furnished with double seated rooms in both the boys and girls hostels and have very good gymnasium facilities for indoor games, reading and recreation rooms. It will be incumbent upon the student admitted to the hostel to join the mess and pay mess charges for three months in advance at the rates prescribed from time to time. Mess charges may be revised at any time due to escalation in the prices of food items. Availing of the Mess will be compulsory for the students admitted to Hostel w.e.f. July 2014. The students admitted to the hostel are entitled to stay in the hostel during the academic session only and are required to vacate the rooms during the summer vacations. Washing clothes inside the hostel premises is not allowed. University has made arrangement of mechanical laundry for washing 50 clothes per month for hostel inmates at a nominal rate. The Hostel inmates will be required to comply with the rules and regulations as per Jamia Hamdard Hostel Bye-laws The Annual Hostel Fee for MBBS students for A.M. Halls of Residency (Girls Hostel) and Ibne-Batuta (Boys Hostel) will be Rs. 50000/- General Note:

1. The Hostel fee shall be charged for the full academic year. In case a candidate is allotted in the middle of academic year, the hostel charges shall be calculated at quarterly basis. Full Hostel charges shall be payable for full quarter or part thereof. (First Quarter: 1st July to 30th September, Second Quarter:1st October to 31st December, Third Quarter: 1st January to 31st March and Fourth Quarter; 1st April to 30th June)

2. A hostler will have to deposit an amount of Rs. 10000/- as Hostel Security Money. The

Security money will not be refunded if a student over stays in the hostel for more than a month after the last examination held for a particular course.

3. There will be an increase of 10% in the Annual Hostel Fees in every next academic year.

4. Mechanical Laundry Facility is available in the University. An allottee will have to

deposit Rs.2475/- (for boys) and Rs.3300/- (for girls) as annual Laundry charge for washing of clothes as per rules of the University along with Annual Hostel Fee.

5. Availing the Mess facility will be compulsory for the residents of Jamia Hamdard Hostels.

6. Residents will have to vacate the hostel at the end of the academic session (after annual/semester examinations). Seats in the hostel may be re-allotted to the student in the month of July when the new academic session begins.

7. Hostel bylaws will be applicable to the hostlers
