Class No. 10735 Bucket of Junk

Each participant will receive a 5 gal. bucket filled with junk they can use to make a sculpture.

Each participant will receive 1 piece that is uniform among all participants. All items in the

bucket must be used to make the sculpture. No extra pieces may be added. All items of junk

may be cleaned, sanded, welded, cut, bolted, fastened, bent, shaped, or finished in any manner

the sculptor desires. This class has two options for judging based upon project goal & methods.

1. Sculpture is designed by youth & welded by an adult - this project will be judged as Visual

Art, youth goal must reflect design elements. 2. Youth welds & designs the sculpture - this

project will be judged as Welding/STEM, youth goal must reflect learning about the process of

welding/assembling sculpture. Each completed sculpture is to be named/titled by 4-H/FFA

member for display. Sculptures will be displayed with Static exhibits & are the responsibility

of the youth to take home after exhibit release.
