ThePTSA 8th Grade Committee reached out to Jared Dorsey and Sherryared Dorsey and SherryPerri of Everything OutdoorsPerri of Everything Outdoors and they have generously offered to designand construct the Legacy patio projectLegacy patio project. December has been busy for Coleman's 8th graders with their dress up day,"BE A STANDOUT/ HUMAN HIGHLIGHTER"! The brighter the better. This is to encourage them to think abouthow they can "stand out" in their academics and special interests, as well as intheir communities. Participants received neon colored pencils and Sour Patchcandy canes for "standing out."

8th Grade also sponsored a Skate Party at United Skates of America. This easyand fun fundraiser for their class raised over $500! The snowball fight was agreat way to end the night. Thank you to all the students and parents whoparticipated! The 8th Grade Legacy Fund has raised over $3000 so far!

a successful dance on December 7th! The event raised $771 to donate to St.Joseph's Children's Hospital.

PTSA MINI-GRANTSPTSA Mini-grants are voted upon by the PTSA board at the monthly PTSABoard meetings. These grants, made possible Coleman's generous businessand family partnerships, provide the education and training opportunities notavailable in the school or district budget.

The following Mini-grant was awarded for the month of December:

1. $252.89 for 11 drawing pads (11 x $22.99) for Mr. Arnold to helpstudents with animation in computer science class in a format lesscumbersome than a computer mouse. Serves 150 students.
