Harbour Shipping Ltd offers a range of services across the Irish Sea to destination Ports in both Northern Ireland and The Republic. The network of routes and services provided meets the demands of a wide variety of vehicle operators travelling to and from the Emerald Isle.

We have concentrated on the routes directly to and from the UK mainland. There are however a selection of routes direct from the Continent to the Republic of Ireland and should you wish to find out more about these please call our sales department on 01304 200910.

Republic of IrelandDublin

The Port of Dublin is situated within the city on the River Liffy. There are up to ten crossings on a daily basis into Dublin from the UK mainland from the ports of Holyhead (Anglesey), Liverpool and Heysham with services operated by Stena Line, Irish Ferries and Seatruck. Crossing times from Holyhead are a little over 3 hours while the crossing from Heysham takes 8 hours. All of the Republic’s motorway network leads to/from Dublin city so it is a good alternative for any destination throughout Southern Ireland.for any destination throughout Southern Ireland.

Dun Laoghaire

Rosslare

The Port of Rosslare is on the South East coast of Ireland, a little under 100 miles south of Dublin and 10 miles south of Wexford. There are daily services from the Welsh Ports of Fishguard and Pembroke. Rosslare’s location makes it a good option for travelling to or from Limerick or Cork and all areas in the South and South West of the Republic.

Dun Laoghaire Port is situated on the East coast of the Irish Republic about 8 miles south of the city of Dublin. A freight service, operating high speed vessels and offering crossing times of 2 hours, runs between Dun Laoghaire and Holyhead during the months of April to September, but outside of this period the route offers a passenger only service. As with Dublin Port, if you choose to use Dun Laoghaire you are very quickly on to the Irish motorway network so it is a good option for destinations all over Ireland.option for destinations all over Ireland.

Cork

The Port of Cork is found on the River Lee in the city of Cork a few miles from where it joins the Irish Sea. An overnight service runs from the Welsh Port of Swansea three times a week in each direction departing on alternate evenings with the exception of Monday. Cork is a good option for travelling throughout the far South of the Irish Republic.

Northern IrelandBelfast

Warren Point

The capital city of the province is well served by a variety of Ports in northern England or southern Scotland. The Port joins the M2 motorway at junction 1 and you then have easy access to the whole of motorway at junction 1 and you then have easy access to the whole of Belfast city or the rest of Northern Ireland. You can sail to Belfast from Birkenhead or Heysham on the North West coast of England or from Cairnryan on the West coast of Scotland with a combination of up to 9 sailings a day. Crossing times range from as little as 2 hours to 8 hours on the various routes.

The Port of Larne is situated on the East Coast of Northern Ireland where the Irish Sea meets Larne Lough. Daily services are available from the Scottish Ports of Cairnryan, offering up to 6 crossings a day, and Troon, which offers 1 sailing per day in each direction. Larne provides a good option for deliveries to the Ballymena and Londonderry areas and throughout the northern area of Northern Ireland as well as avoiding the Belfast area if you so wish.

Warrenpoint Port is located 7 miles south of Newry near the border of Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic. A service runs to and from Heysham on the North West coast of England offering up to twocrossings a day in each direction.
