The reviled book The Invention of the Jewish People, by Israeli com-munist Shlomo Sand, has been translated into Spanish and is often quoted by deniers of Israel´s right to exist. In

his book, Sand states that Jews were not exiled and that Palestinian Arabs actually descend from those Jews. He furthermore states that Jews are descendants of Khazar converts and other tribes. Why is an anti-Zionist almost always an anti-Semitic?

1. Anti-Zionism disqualifies (dismisses) feelings and national ambitions of the Jews (and only of the Jews) and considers Israel (and only Israel) an illegitimate State.

2. An anti-Zionist states he does not hate Jews but he does hate Zionists. However, he cannot justify the fact that he hates the absolute majority of Jewish people, who claim to be Zionists.

3. For anti-Zionists, 192 states throughout the world can exist, but only one must justify its existence… and it is the state of the Jewish people. Coincidence? 4. The Righteous Restoration of the Jewish Homeland

Example 1: In April 2002 the Israeli army attacked Jenin, the capital city of Palestinian terrorism, after a series of attacks against Israeli civilians. 53 armed Palestinians and 23 Israeli soldiers died in combat. Palestinians claimed that over 500 had been massacred. A UN commission proved that to be a lie.

Example 2: In December 2008, after a constant rain of missiles against Israel, begins the “Cast Lead” operation in order to stop terrorist attacks from the Gaza Strip. Palestin-

ians claimed “massacre of civilians” purposely exagger-ating the number of victims. After the Operation, UN sent a Commission to verify war crimes. Judge Goldstone (Commission Chief) stated that “civilians have not been deliberately killed by Israel”. (Washington Post 1/4/2011).

Example 3: In May 2010 Israel detained a flotilla led by the Turkish Islamic group IHH. 9 aggressors died. Israel is accused of imposing and illegal blockade which impedes access of humanitarian help to Gaza Strip. U N establishes the Palmer Commission, which confirms that Israel´s blockade is completely legal and is a defense against an aggressive en-tity… and there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Multiple Palestinian states. A Palestinian-Arab state has never existed, nor has a Palestinian sovereignty in Westbank, Gaza or Israel. Today, Israelis accept to concede part of their national territory in order to create a Palestinian State. The prob-lem is that Palestinian radicals clearly state their need to create four Palestinian states...

Israeli Arabs – 1,5 million persons – the radicals among them demand national autonomy.

• Actually 1.750.000 Arabs, both Muslims and Christians, live in Israel with equal legal rights.

• Hebrew and Arabic are both official languages in Israel. In the actual Knesset (parliament) there are 10 Arab-Israeli deputies and another 3 Druze deputies.

• AS an example, one of the 15 judges of Israel´s Supreme Court of Justice is Arab-Israeli Salim Giubran.

Equal Rights Of Arabs In Israel

•Israel protects religious freedom for all creeds

• In Israel, homosexuals are pro-tected against discrimination and hate crimes.

• Education is conveyed equally to men and women.

• Israel is a democratic country enjoying freedom of speech and assembly, granting fair and open justice.

• Terrorists imprisoned in Israel enjoy wide rights, as do all other prisoners. Many pris-oners leave Israeli prisons with a university degree

Human Rights in Israel

• After the capturing the territories of Westbank and Gaza in the1967 war, an act of legitimate de-fense, the Arab states rejected offers made by Israel and requested by U N (242, 338) of ceding those territories in exchange for peace.• In those territories, legally considered “in dis-pute”, Israel built settlements in order to guarantee their safety in the same land that had belonged to the Jewish people for thousands of year. In some villages, like Gush Etzion, they had been expelled and assassinated by Arabs in 1948.• Developed areas in Israeli settlements cover less than 1.7% of the land of Westbank. Meanwhile, 98% of the Palestinian population live in 40% of the land ruled by the Palestinian Authority.• 80% of Israeli settlers live in communities close to the Green Line (see the Olmert-Abbas map). The Green Line is not, and has never been, an interna-tional border but a cease fire line, thus the request to establish a Palestinian state starting on the 1967 line (Green Line) is completely arbitrary.

Why Does Israel Demand That Serious Measure Be Adopted To

Protect Its Civilians?

1. The central area of the country is a mountainous zone, and from those heights terrorist groups could launch short range missiles aiming the only international airport and central Israeli cities. 2. The Israeli coastline is very thin. For example, distance between the Green Line and Kfar Sabe is only 15 km.3. Without a border control, terrorists could smuggle weapons just like they now do in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli humanitarian programs• Israel established the first advanced field hospital in Haiti after the terrible earthquake in that country. Many children treated at Israeli hospitals are now named “Israel”, “Israela” or carry the name of the Israeli doctor that looked after them.

• The Israeli program “Save a Child´s Heart” (SACH) is the largest in the world, providing assistance to poor nations when their children require heart surgery.

• Israel was one of the few countries offering assistance to Vietnamese refugees who escaped their country by boat.

• Israel dictates around 300 courses yearly in emerging countries, and has trained over 200.000 people in 130 countries on issues like agriculture, water management, education, refugees, and employment programs.

• In 2011, 20.000 refugees fleeing from civil wars in Africa (Congo, Liberia, Eritrea) reached Israel seeking protection and jobs.
