Division Category Active/re-active register Defines whether active, apparent, or reactive consumption is displayed on the register of a current meter.

Register Type Used to define the type of register within the Register Group On-Peak, Off-peak. Means that the register is assigned to a particular time zone.

Pre-decimal and decimal places. Meter reading unit of measure Register Factor Used to obtain the actual consumption by multiplying this with the meter reading result. Propose register at installation/replacement Validation class

The filed needs to be selected so that, the register is used as part of the standard configuration of this register group during the Installation/Replacement/Create Device Info Record activities. This register is proposed during the Installation/Replacement/Create Device Info Record activities.

At least one register must be selected within a register group.

Device category is linked to Device, for which full installation is done to record the consumption through Register group which is linked to device. Certification details can also be defined at device category level.Whether Internal or external certification to be done is defined here. If external Calibration validity need to be specified, if internal Internal certification period needs to be defined.

Below are key details that needs to be provided during the device Installation:

The Installation to which the device is installed and the Activity date. The Device and corresponding Device Category need to be mentioned. Meter Reading recorded: The reading on the meter on a particular time or day. For new device installation, this value will be typically zero. For any replacement of devices, the reading entered would be the reading on the old device which is being replaced. Periodic Consumption: Is the expected consumption over a particular period of time (Say 365 days). This is used to calculate the expected consumption during forecasting incase the base period consumption (previous month reading or previous year current month reading) is not available. HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Device InstallationName of PresentationThe devices associated with a particular Installation can be viewed as shown below. Also the Register data associated with that particular device can be viewed.

HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Device ReplacementName of Presentation During device replacement the current meter reading is entered in the old device and any initial meter reading is entered in new device which system will use it to calculate the total consumption during final meter reading results entry.

HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Device ReplacementName of Presentation In the below scenario, the reading on the old device is given as 400 and the reading on the new device installed is given as 0. During final consumption calculation, these details are used.

HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Device RemovalName of Presentation The device that needs to be removed is checked and the list is processed. Multiple devices can also be removed in a single process.

HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Device RemovalName of Presentation The final reading on the meter during its removal is entered in the process of removal. The meter reading value entered is automatically validated against the tolerance values defined.

Installations are grouped in this way for meter reading and device management purposes

HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Name of PresentationScheduling Records Installations are assigned to MRU. Meters are assigned to the MRU through installation Portion from MRU defines billing periods for installations. Schedule records are created first for portion and for MRU in order to create the MRO and meter reading results.

Once the schedule records are created, the meter reading orders (MRO) are generated manually or automatically (On scheduled Meter Reading Date). In the above MRU, only 11 schedule records are generated since the first months MRO has already been generated manually. HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Meter Reading ResultsName of Presentation Meter readings are entered for the corresponding meter reading orders created. The meter readings entered are validated against the validations defined in the validation class (If defined) or automatically checked with previous reading and categorized as Plausible/Implausible readings and hence can be corrected accordingly.

TE409 In the above entry, the reading for device 2002 is not processed since the system automatically calculates the deviation of the current reading from previous reading and finds it to be not within the permissible level. The permissible deviation for devices with Installation are defined in table TE409. HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /Meter Reading ResultsName of Presentation The readings can be either corrected (By allowing the system to estimate) or released without correction as highlighted below.

HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /MonitoringName of Presentation Monitoring of Schedule records, Meter reading orders, Billing Orders and Meter reading results entered are done through the Monitoring function.

HCL AXON 2010 / / Page #May 2, 2012 /ValidationsName of PresentationValidation ProcessMeter Readings are validated as they are entered in SAP.

Checked Against a variety of the defined validation Rules .

Plausible meter readings become billable.

Implausible readings are blocked and need to be processed.

Changed reading values are validated again.
