Mit dem Tonfilm fing alles an: 1924 gründete der Elektroingenieur Eugen Beyer in Berlin sein eigenes Unterneh-men – um Kinolautsprecher zu bauen. Seine „Elektrotechnische Fabrik Eugen Beyer“ legte den Grundstein für einen der weltweit führenden Hersteller von Kopfhörern, Mikrofonen und Konfe-renzsystemen – und für die heutige beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG.Es blieb nicht lange bei den ursprüng-lichen Lautsprechern: 1937 erschien der Urvater aller beyerdynamic-Kopfhö-rer, der DT 48. Als erster dynamischer Kopfhörer – die Typenbezeichnung DT steht für „Dynamisches Telefon“ – be-

gleitete er Generationen von Toningeni-euren und Reportern. 1939 folgte mit dem ersten studioreifen dynamischen Mikrofon M 19 das Gegenstück zur Tonaufnahme und ein Meilenstein der Elektroakustik. Die Übertragungskette war geschlossen und ist es bis heute geblieben: Millionen Kunden vertrauen bei der Aufnahme und Wiedergabe von Audiosignalen auf die hohe Qualität von beyerdynamic-Produkten. Aus dem Familienbetrieb ist längst ein Global Player mit Präsenz in mehr als 100 Ländern dieser Erde geworden. Der Name beyerdynamic steht heute

It all started with the talkie: electrical engineer Eugen Beyer started his own company in Berlin in 1924 to build cinema speakers. His “Elektrotech-nische Fabrik Eugen Beyer” laid the foundations for a world leading manu-facturer of headphones, microphones and conference systems – and for today‘s beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG.But it didn‘t stop at speakers for long: the forefather of all beyerdynamic headphones, the DT48, emerged in 1937. As the first dynamic headphone (the DT classification stands for “Dyna-mic Telephone“), it has accompanied generations of sound engineers and

reporters. The first dynamic micro-phone for studio use, the M19, followed in 1939 as the counterpart for recording and represented a mile-stone in electro-acoustics. The chain of transmission was complete and has remained so to this day: millions of clients depend on high quality beyerdynamic products for recording and reproducing audio signals. The family company has grown into a global player and is present in more than 100 countries around the world. beyerdynamic today stands for a broad range of high-quality audio equipment

in the field of Consumer, Professional Audio and Conference. The products are still being developed and mainly hand-manufactured in Heilbronn.
