Madam/Sir,1. In continuation to SCT Cell, Hqrs. Office letter No. A-12/18/1/Policy/14-SCT dated 16.05.2014 and PR
Action Plan for the year 2014-15, I am directed to inform you that Workshop/Awareness Programme on
'Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) in ESI Corporation
are to be organized as per the instructions of Union Ministry of Labour & Employment. The first set of
Workshops will be organized at 07 places of ESIC Regional Offices at Kanpur, Chandigarh, Patna,
Indore, Goa, Chennai and Hyderabad. The host Regional Office will make all the arrangements in
respect of all participating units.
2. Two members each from units (to be deputed by ROs/SROs/ESIC Hospitals/D(M)D) of the States
which will include Branch Officer dealing with the subject and one official of their Admn.
Branch/Dealing Branch on the subject, will participate in these workshops. It is to be ensured that out
of the two member palticipants; the team may comprise of one male and one female officer/official
each. JD (PR)/DD (PR) alongwith two PR Officials will visit the workshop venues, as per the
requirement. The participants may claim regular TA/DA as per their entitlement.
The Participants of the above workshop will be required to organize - a two hour session in
each of their units, when they go back to their units after completion of the above workshop. This two
hour session will be based on the learnings of the above stated workshops. The idea is to create a
chain effect to each and every employee of the Corporation with regard to awareness
about the "Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and
Redressal)".
3. The host Regional Office will invite Speakers/Experts from reputed NGOs/Members of Union or State
Women Commission/Legal luminaries/Psychologists/Academicians of repute in the concerned field.
4. A consolidated brief report alongwith photographs may be sent to PR Branch, Hqrs. Office on the email
[email protected], [email protected] for onward submission of the same to the
Director General. The report may also be annexed with good lecture note etc., so that the same may
find place in future publications of ESrc.

5. For this, the Director General/Financial Commissioner has approved/concurred to organize the above
workshops in the following ESIC Regional Offices for all concerned the ROs/SROs/ESIC,Hospitals/D(M)D:-

6. The workshops will be organized at respective Regional Office only. No cost should be borne on
booking of any outside venue. The estimated total budget for conducting/organizing of the above said
workshop should be restricted as per the followings:-

workshop venue (for 3 days including (Rs. 5,000/- per participant for whole stay)previous day and after completion ofworkshop)
6. Misc. works (if required) Rs. 10,000/-Total estimated cost Rs. 2,72,000/- (i.e. for approx. 30 participants)
(taxes extra as applicable)
However, actual expenditure by the host ROs should be done in consultation with their Finance Division
following due procedure as laid down; and austerity measures may please be kept in view in this regard.
This has the approval of Director General and concurrence of Financial Commissioner.
