WHERE CBI FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREENING WORKS WELL

HOW IT WORKS

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREENING

The FMS is a simple and effective screening tool to assess an individual’s ability to complete fundamental human movement patterns. CBI’s Exercise Physiologists use this tool to rank and grade movement patterns key to normal movement.

From this, the Exercise Physiologist is able to identify functional limitations and asymmetries that affect an employees’ ability to move correctly and consequently their risk of injury.

The 7 assessment areas include

• Squatting

• Stepping

• Lunging

• Reaching

• Leg raising

• Push-up and

• Rotary stability

During consultations:

• Corrective exercises and techniques are provided to the individual

• Participants who report pain during any movement are referred onto a Physiotherapist for further consultation

Following consultations:

• Optional inclusion of individual follow-up consultations for high risk employees

• Your business will gain an understanding of the collective workforce injury risk via a comprehensive report

• Personalised injury-management consultation including report and recommendations

• Long term understanding and ownership of individual capabilities and injury status

• Specific exercise prescription improving physical function and quality of life

• Improved understanding and risk management of workforce

• De-identified report outlining injury risk profile of the workforce

• Recommendations to achieve injury reductions in the workplace
