1. INTRODUCTION The MacKellar Excavations Work, Health, Safety & Environment Management Plan, is designed to ensure that all work carried out by MacKellar Excavations will be in a safe and responsible manner during the course of working on Projects. The WHSEMP documents how MacKellar Excavations will manage all Work, Health, Safety & Environment activities undertaken by the company on all sites. eg:

promoting safe and healthy places of work,

identifying the hazards to health, safety & the environment at the site such that the risks are Identified, assessed and eliminated or controlled,

provide written procedures and instructions to ensure safe systems of work

ensure compliance with legislative requirements and current industry standards

training employees and contractors to protect against risks arising from mining and the use and maintenance of plant,

where practicable, consult with elected health & safety representatives and employees in any workplace change that will affect health or safety

developing and promoting community awareness of health and safety issues

The principal goal is to achieve outcomes consistent with the policies and strategic objectives of MacKellar Excavations & the Contractors we work for.

2. PURPOSE

The Work, Health, Safety & Environment Management Plan is to established and maintain effective management of Work Health, Safety & Environment on all Projects. MacKellar Excavations has implemented a structured format to achieve a high standard of Safety in the work place. MacKellar Excavations will ensure to meet all obligations with Work, Health and Safety policies and legislations.

4. HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd has a MEX Health and Safety Policy for all its operations.

4.1 Aim of our Health and Safety Policy Mackellar Excavations Work, Health, Safety & Environment Management Plan is aligned to the requirements on all Project Sites. MacKellar Excavations is aimed at achieving the following:

Achieve zero equipment damage and failure

Achieve zero environmental incidents

4.2 Achieve our goals

MacKellar Excavations will involve all employees in Health and Safety issues by communication, consultation and planning

MacKellar Excavations will include all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment in the planning of all activities completed on Project Sites

Mackellar Excavations will identify all potential risks and hazards in the workplace through Hazard identification and Risk analysis

MacKellar Excavations will ensure all incidents are reported and recorded

Our Work Health and Safety goal is a year-on-year reduction in Lost Time Injuries and the number of working days lost to injury each year.

4.3 Reviews MacKellar Excavations will review the WHSMP every 12 months. More frequent reviews will take place in response to organisational and / or legislative changes or Project Coal requirements. The reviews will be undertaken in consultation with all employees. SWMS will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they remain relevant to the work site and work procedures.

5. SCOPE OF WORKS

MacKellar Excavations carry out earthmoving/earthworks on various coal mining sites including:

Whitehaven’s CHPP & CHPP Reject Ponds, RocGlen, Tarrawonga, Maules Creek

Boggabri Coal

Boggabri Coal Expansion Project (BCEP)

Leighton’s Constructions projects for Whitehaven & BCEP

UGL Projects for Whaitehaven & BCEP

MacKellar Excavations use the following plant on project sites:

Excavators – Load articulated dump trucks, Load semi tipper trailers

Wheel Loaders – General earthmoving, load trucks

Graders – Patrol grading

Articulated Dump trucks – Haulage on sites

Rollers – General rolling of pads, excavation sites

Semi-Trailers – Cartage of aggregates & stemming’s, etc. to sites

MacKellar Excavations will provide and manage Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis and Safe Work Methods with all this type of earthmoving in conjunction with our employees and Contractor staff.

6. RESPONSIBILITIES 6.1 Management MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd is required to comply with the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2011 and will do so by applying the systems and procedures in this Plan. All management representatives are accountable for implementing this policy in their areas of responsibility. Performance will be reviewed on a regular basis. Management is responsible for:

ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, Local Government WH&S Legislation or any other requirements placed on the organisation;

Secure and promote the health, safety and welfare of people at work;

Protect people at work against risks to health or safety arising out of the activities of persons at work;

Promote a safe and healthy work environment for people at work that protects them from injury and illness and that is adapted to their psychological and physiological needs;

Provide for consultation and co-operation between employers and employees in achieving the objects of this Act;

Ensure that risks to health and safety at a place of work are identified, assessed and eliminated or controlled;

Develop and promote community awareness of OHS issues;

Provide a legislative framework that allows for progressively higher standards of WHS to take account of changes in technology and work practices;

Provide support and assistance to employees including effective injury management and rehabilitation

6.2 Duties as an Employer

As an employer this business must ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all its employees and this duty extends without limitation to the following:

Ensuring that any premises controlled by MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd where the employees work (and the means of access and egress) are safe and without risks to health;

Ensuring that any plant or substance provided for use by the employees at work is safe and without risks to health when properly used;

Ensuring that systems of work and the working environment of the employees are safe and without risks to health;

Providing such information, instruction, training and supervision as may be necessary to ensure the employees’ health and safety at work;

Providing adequate facilities for the welfare of the employees at work;

6.3 Duty to Other Persons

This section imposes an obligation on MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd to protect a wider range of persons than employees.

visitors (whether invited or otherwise who are legally at the place of work);

6.4 Safe Work Premises

MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd will ensure that premises controlled by MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd and used by its employees as a place of work are safe and without risks to health. This extends to any premises leased by MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd to other parties as a place of work to ensure that it is safe for use by the employees as a place of work.

6.5 Duties as an Employee

Employees must take reasonable care to ensure their actions do not affect the safety of themselves and others in the workplace. They must also cooperate with the employer to ensure compliance with the WHS Act and Regulations. Employees are to;

Comply with all MacKellar Excavation Health and Safety policies and procedures

Report all known or observed hazards to their immediate supervisor or manager.

8.1.1 Hazard Identification

As part of MEX business planning, annually assesses the hazards likely to present significant risk throughout the term of the Plan. Tables are formulated for hazards in each of the control areas and action plans devised to manage these risks.

The aim of this program is to develop an inspection system to identify and report all hazards found in the workplace. These inspections will be completed regularly and will use our risk management process to identify, assess and control hazards. It will also include a MEX Hazard Assessment Form, Job Safety & Environment Analysis (JSEA) Form which can be used at any time.

Daily toolbox talks will be held at which relevant hazards will be discussed and control mechanisms reviewed. All meetings will be documented. All employees and contractors are required to attend

8.1.2 Risk Assessment

This process of identifying hazards, assessing risk and implementing controls underpins all of

our programs and will be applied to all of our work. Many of our documents include our risk

rating categories eg

Job Safety & Environment Analysis (JSEA) Form

Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) form All people on site will apply these categories when formally assessing hazards or during their normal work practice. Risk assessments should be undertaken if one of the following events occurs: 1. before setting up and using any new premises as a place of work 2. when planning work processes 3. before installation, erection, commissioning or alteration of plant 4. whenever changes are made to:

8.1.3 Safe Work Method Statements

General Safety Procedures

From the abovementioned Work Process Assessments, written safe work procedures are developed from the risk assessment to manage the common and residual risks associated with each work process. Safe Work Procedures are divided into the following categories for induction and training purposes and include:

Safe People Procedures Those that specify competence standards and training requirements to undertake a task

Safe Plant Procedures

Those that specify standards for plant and equipment used on site and maintained in a fit for purpose state of repair

Safe Conditions Those that specify standards for the environment in which work is to undertaken and

Those that describe a work process or combine Safe People, Safe Plant and Safe Conditions to achieve a safe process outcome.

Select personnel

Select members of the work group who are/will is doing, the job. Ensure that all members of the group understand that the purpose of the SWMs is to identify and develop control measures for all potential hazards associated with the task.

Determine job steps

Divide the job into single steps, describing what is (or is to be) done and in what order.

Identify potential hazards, or consequences List all the potential hazards to persons, equipment and the environment.

Assess the risks

Once all hazards associated with a particular job step have been identified, a risk assessment may be conducted.

Develop control measures

When the hazards have been identified, control measures must be developed to eliminate the hazard or reduce the risk. When developing control measures, the hierarchy of control must be adopted.

Record the details on the worksheet

Issue the preliminary SWMs to the employees who are/will be performing the task, for review.

Make any changes required

Forward to the appropriate Manager / Supervisor for signoff. Once signed off as approved, file in the SWMs file. Attach the SWMs to the relevant procedures / work instructions

Updating Of SWMS

Employees shall note any changes to the steps or hazards identified in the original SWMs and bring these changes to the attention of the Manager or Site Supervisor. Every effort is made to identify foreseeable hazards prior to commencement of work on a project. During the course of the project, additional hazards and/or risks that are identified will be assessed and controlled using the appropriate reporting and assessment protocols of the Risk Management process.

9. TRAINING AND COMPETENCE

Competence assessments are kept on a database and records maintained in individual employee

files and are updated in accordance to the training system.

Competent includes a person holding the relevant evidence of competence or has been assessed

as competent for specified duties

Supervisor, in relation to an operation, means a person identified in the Management structure for

the operation as a manager or supervisor

Induction Process: All new employees or contractors must have successfully completed any

induction required to enter work sites. The person will then, be assessed on the applicable sections

of the site induction before being allowed to commence work. A condensed site induction is used to

assess the competence of visitors and consultants who visit the site and remain in the company of a

company employee.

Training: Employees and contractors are assessed as competent or provided with appropriate

training information to gain the necessary skills and knowledge too competently perform their

allotted tasks. General safety, hazard awareness, communication and environmental matters are

included in the training programs. Regular shift pre-start meetings and tool box talks are held to

reinforce the safety awareness of persons employed on the site.

Refresher Training: Refresher training is provided at appropriate intervals determined by risk

assessment of the operation or task, to employees or if new or varied work methods, processes or

equipment are introduced.

Assessor Competence: Only personnel, competent in the subject matter, conduct training and

assessment and on the job training is the preferred method, however, this will be supplemented by

other means whenever necessary. MacKellar Excavations in conjunction with LDO Training

(register RTO) offers training to personnel in “Certificate III Civil Construction Plant Operations”

Mackellar Excavation Emergency Procedure will be displayed clearly in all site huts, and available to everyone on site. A toolbox talk will be conducted when commencing all new projects to outline all Emergency Procedures for the current project and also outlining Emergency Muster areas, First-Aid Kits and First-Aid personnel appointed.

10.2 First Aid & Fire Fighting Procedures

MacKellar Excavations will assign current qualified first-aiders to Project sites and display clearly where First-Aid Kits will be readily available for all personnel. MacKellar Excavations conduct regular inspections on all first-aid kits. MacKellar Excavations will have people onsite who have adequate firefighting competency, understand firefighting procedures & will have adequate firefighting equipment onsite.

10.3 High Pressure Injection

Emergency preparedness is an essential part of working with fluid power systems and requires the development of an action plan for managing every suspected Fluid Injection injury including specific First Aid requirements.

Note: Do not delay or treat a potential Fluid Injection as a simple laceration, specialist treatment is urgently required. Immediate recognition of the injury is crucial to successful management. The seemingly and deceptively innocuous presentation of this type of injury has often led to a lack of appreciation of it grave significance.

11. FITNESS FOR WORK

Aim We intend to openly discuss and educate all employees and visitors on the Project Coal policy on alcohol, drugs and fatigue. While we respect the consultation process we also intend to be very clear on our policy of preventing persons from working at the mine if they exhibit any signs of alcohol, drug use or fatigue that is likely to affect their ability to work safely. In accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd will provide a work environment and work practices which together reduce the risks associated with drug and alcohol use at the workplace, and where deemed to be appropriate, will assist staff in need of advice or help in a sensitive and confidential manner. It is the policy of MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd that when employees or contractors are at work they must be in a suitable state to undertake their work without risk to themselves or other employees and therefore they shall not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Where an employee (or contractor) at MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at work, action will be taken to reduce the risk of injury to themselves or others. Depending on the circumstances this may be followed up with disciplinary action for the employee including termination of their employment. Under no circumstances, or at any time, is any employee or contracted staff of MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd to take drugs on MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd premises except for patented medicines or drugs prescribed by a medical practitioner. If an employee is taking drugs prescribed by a medical practitioner their consumption must not impair their judgment and or the ability to perform their duties safely. Under no circumstances is any employee or contracted staff of MacKellar Excavations Pty Ltd to consume alcohol on the premises at any time unless at an approved function authorised by a Director and then only in moderation and in compliance with the requirements of the law. 11.2 Fitness for Work Policy

MacKellar Excavations is committed to ensuring the Safety and health of all individuals associated with its operations. MEX recognises that an individual fitness for work may be affected by a variety of factors including adverse effects of fatigue, stress, alcohol or other drugs. These factors can affect an individual’s fitness for work and can be a contributing factor in incidents.

MEX will assess the fitness for work of all individuals on all our sites both prior to and during employment. MEX may use these methods for assessing fitness for work:

Alcohol and drug testing

Medical testing

Face to face discussion

Fatigue Management Privacy and confidentiality will be observed for all personnel. Personnel who are deemed unfit will be managed in an effective, fair and constructive manner. Mex will also offer additional support, with awareness and education. MEX personnel shall also ensure that they are fit for work and notify the Managers if at any time they have doubts. MEX will discipline any personnel if they are in breach of this Fitness for Work Policy. 11.3 Health Surveillance

The organisation SHALL identify those situations where employee health surveillance is required and SHALL implement appropriate systems. Employees SHALL have access to their own individual results. Where specified by legislation, the health of employees exposed to specific hazards SHALL be monitored and recorded. 11.4 Injury Management and Return to Work

Mackellar Excavations is committed to the return to work of injured employees. As part of this commitment, we will:

prevent injury and illness by providing a safe and healthy working environment

participate in the development of an injury management plan and ensure that injury management commences as soon as possible after an employee is injured

support the injured employee and ensure that early return to work is a normal expectation;

provide suitable duties for an injured employee as soon as possible;

ensure that our injured employees (and anyone representing them) are aware of their rights and responsibilities – including the right to choose their own doctor and rehabilitation provider, and the responsibility to provide accurate information about the injury and its cause);

consult with our employees and, where applicable, unions to ensure that the return- to-work program operates as smoothly as possible;

maintain the confidentiality of injured employee’s records.

not dismiss an employee as a result of a work related injury within six months of becoming unfit for employment.

To support the above Mackellar Excavations has established the following procedures. 1. Notification of Injuries

All injuries must be notified to the Project Manager/Supervisor as soon as possible.

All injuries will be recorded in the Injury Register.

Our Workers Compensation Scheme Agent will be notified of any injuries that may require compensation within 48 hours.

2. Recovery

All injured employees will receive appropriate first aid or medical treatment as soon as possible.

The injured employee must nominate a treating doctor who will be responsible for the medical management of the injury and assist in planning return to work.

3. Return to Work

A suitable person will be arranged to explain the return to work process to the injured employee.

The injured employee will be offered the assistance of a WorkCover-accredited rehabilitation provider if it becomes evident that they are not likely to resume their pre-injury duties, or cannot do so without changes to the workplace or work practices.

4. Suitable Duties

An individual return to work plan will be developed when the injured employee, according to medical advice, is capable of returning to work.

The injured employee will be provided with suitable duties that are consistent with medical advice and are meaningful, productive and appropriate to the injured employee’s physical and psychological condition.

Depending on the individual circumstances of the injured employee, suitable duties may be at the same workplace or a different workplace, the same job with different hours or modified duties, a different job and may involve full-time or part-time hours.

5. Dispute Resolution

If disagreements about the return to work program or suitable duties arise, the organisation will work with the injured employee and any union representing them to try to resolve the issue.

If all parties are unable to resolve the dispute, the organization will seek to involve the Scheme Agent, an accredited rehabilitation provider, the treating doctor or an injury management consultant.

12. INCIDENT INVESTIGATION, CORRECTIVE AND PREVENTATIVE ACTION

The organisation SHALL establish, implement and maintain procedures for:

Barricading off site until investigation has been completed

Investigating, responding to and taking action to minimise any harm caused from incidents

Investigating and responding to system failures, and

Initiating and completing appropriate corrective and preventative action.

The organisation SHALL implement and record any changes in the WHSMS procedures resulting from incident investigations and corrective and preventive action.

13. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

MEX has specific requirements for PPE on all Project Mine Sites. The PPE must include:

Hard Hats

Eye Protection

Safety Boots

Hearing Protection

Hi-Vis

MacKellar Excavations will endeavour to provide protection from workplace hazards by developing a system to manage the selection, use and maintenance of PPE where required. The purpose of PPE is to protect the workers of MacKellar Excavations from exposure to workplace hazards. MacKellar Excavations will provide all personnel with required PPE for the site or project. MacKellar Excavations will maintain a PPE Register to ensure all PPE issued is current with all standards 14. PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

The Project Manager will be responsible for developing a full list of plant and equipment on site, known as a MEX Plant Register. Once the plant register is completed the manager will then allocate the type of maintenance and the frequency of maintenance to be completed on all mobile plant. Maintenance will be performed according to the following methods:

Pre start

Mobile MEX Pre-Start Check list – according to the type of plant. Fixed Plant: MEX Pre-Start Check list –- according to the type of plant. Scheduled: According to the manufacturer’s service manuals or previously established systems

(if service manuals are not available). Service manuals for each piece of plant and equipment are available and are located at MEX head office, 16 Torrens Road, Gunnedah NSW 2380. Scheduled Maintenance: All scheduled maintenance will be recorded in the plant file/record

book (eg attach completed supplier service sheets, where applicable), Breakdown Maintenance: All unexpected breakdown maintenance will be recorded on the

plant file/ record book. External Service Provider: All documentation received during the course of completing service

work by external service providers will be recorded in the plant file/record book. 15. ISOLATION This procedure has been developed to provide a process for the isolation and tagging of energy and services for maintenance, inspection and test and servicing. This applies to all employees and contractors working for MacKellar Excavations on any Project Sites. Isolations shall only be carried out by competent persons familiar with the plant and equipment. 16. MANUAL HANDLING

MacKellar Excavation Pty Ltd is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for employees, visitors and contractors to the workplace. Where possible, injuries and illness associated with manual handling will be prevented and reduced to ensure compliance with the OHS Regulation 2001 & the National Code of Practice for Manual Handling (1990). This will be achieved by:

Promoting and supporting a consultative process between owners, management, employees, visitors and contractors

Ensuring that all manual handling tasks likely to be a risk to health and safety are assessed and control measures are implemented to eliminate or reduce risk

Designing out problems with equipment, safe work procedures and the workplace surroundings

The provision of necessary training and resources to ensure the business is able to eliminate the risk or if not to take reasonably practicable steps to reduce it to its lowest level of risk

17. LIFTING GEAR AND EQUIPMENT

An inspection schedule for lifting gear and equipment shall be formulated

All lifting gear and equipment shall be to the Australian Standards with SWL marked. Hooks shall be painted with yellow and black stripes, towing slings painted red

A responsible person with a dogging or rigging ticket shall be appointed to inspect lifting gear and equipment

The appointed person shall physically inspect all lifting gear every six months and record results in the register

All lifting gear and equipment shall be inspected prior to every use, defective equipment or equipment not marked shall not be used

A standard signal system shall be displayed in workshops

A chart showing the sling size and load capacity shall be displayed at the workshop and other areas where they are stored.

All slings and chains shall be hung so they are not kinked to prevent damage

All hooks shall have safety latches. Hooks shall be measured using the 3 point system and hooks with greater than 5% spread or 10% wear shall be taken out of service and destroyed

Suitable training shall be given to operators

All heavy or difficult lifts require a Heavy / Difficult lift permit

18. WORKING AT HEIGHTS

MacKellar Excavations has a duty of care to prevent the risks of falls in the workplace. The duty of care includes;

Identifying any hazards that could give rise to the risk of a fall

Eliminate the risk so far as reasonably possible

Minimise the risk by implementing control measures

Maintain the control measures to make sure it remains effective

Review and if necessary revise the control measure so as to maintain so far as reasonably practical a work environment that is without risks to health and safety

MacKellar Excavations will refer to NSW Government WorkCover Code of Practice - Managing the Risk of Falls at Workplaces to minimise the risk of a fall from any height by:

Consulting with employees via Toolbox Talks, SWM’s

Consulting with other duty holders including Project Coal

Mackellar Excavations recognises a fall from height can include many aspects of our daily work and may include:

Falling of a machine when getting on/off the machine

Falling of the deck of Plant/machinery

Falling into excavations

All of the above can be recognised as a hazard and controls can be in place to prevent the fall.

19. HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES

The aim of our Hazardous substances/dangerous goods program is to identify all potential products that maybe hazardous at the site. After identifying and assessing these products, controls will be developed, including ongoing monitoring programs. Regular site inspections will be conducted to identify products that are hazardous or dangerous. These products and any new products introduced to the site will be recorded On the MEX Hazardous Substances/Dangerous Goods Register. Before a product or substance is introduced a current (within 5 years of the date of issue) material Safety Data Sheet will be obtained. Any product on the MEX Hazardous Substances/Dangerous Goods register that has been eliminated from the site will be crossed of the Register. All safety and environmental precautions listed on the MSDS are to be followed when using the substance and should be included in the appropriate Safe Work Method Statement (SWM’s). MEX management is responsible for considering the following when selecting chemicals and substances for use on site:

Flammability and exclusivity

Toxicity (short and long term)

Carcinogenic classification if relevant

Chemical action and instability

Corrosive properties

Safe use and engineering controls

Environmental hazards and

Storage requirements All hazardous substances and dangerous goods will:

Be stored in accordance with the MSDS and legislative requirements.

Be stored in their original containers with the label intact at all times. REMEMBER THAT CONTRACTORS USING HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES OR DANGEROUS GOODS MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF CURRENT MSDSs APPLICABLE TO THEIR WORK 20. ENVIROMENTAL PLANNING

When working on Project Sites MacKellar Excavations will limit the potential impact upon environment by managing its activities in a sustainable manner. MacKellar Excavations will impact the environment by the nature of work it carries out (eg Pre-stripping) however the work has been planned by Project Coal and activities are monitored to prevent erosion and controls are in place to minimise disturbance of existing Flora and Fauna

20.1 MacKellar Excavations Environment Policy

It is MacKellar Excavations’ objective to minimise our impact on the natural, human and built environment by continuously improving our environmental performance through:-

Continuously developing and improving our Environmental Management Systems to minimise impacts and prevent pollution.

Documented procedures will be maintained to assist employees and sub-contractors in carrying out their duties in accordance with company requirements.

Having high operational standards that embrace the principles of sound environmental management at its offices, workshop facilities and customer sites.

Providing adequate resources to ensure continuous improvement in our environmental capability through training & communication.

As a minimum, complying with all legislative, business and government requirements

Identifying key environmental objectives and measuring our performance in achieving these objectives through the implementation of an environmental strategy.

Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on environmental performance to ensure that certain benchmarks are achieved

Understanding the potential for their operations and products to affect the environment, both from normal operations and from abnormal or accidental events.

Reporting any non-compliance to environmental standards / legislation and taking action to rectify.

MacKellar Excavations has identified environmental management as being an integral component of business and as such it will be considered when undertaking any business activity. This policy commits and involves all MacKellar Excavations employees. 21. ELECTRICAL PROCEDURES

23. CONSULTATION The aim of developing a consultation program is to assist in ensuring that all parties at the site are actively involved in achieving occupational health and safety goals. By promoting an open line of consultation we will ensure that everyone is aware of their responsibilities and has the chance to participate in developing and implementing the Health and Safety Management Plan. The consultation program will allow all people on site to openly discuss safety related matters and will be mainly based around our SITE SAFETY MEETING / TOOLBOX MEETING. Other forms of consultation and communication that will take place include:

Meeting between employees, management and Project Coal A site safety meeting may also be held if one of the following events occurs:

1. When a risk assessment is carried out and a decision about the controls required is to be undertaken

2. When new or amended procedures for monitoring risks are introduced 3. When decisions about the facilities for welfare are made 4. When changes that affect health, safety and welfare are made to:

a. Premises b. systems or methods of work c. plant d. substances

5. When decisions about procedures for consultation are made 6. On the request of staff where appropriate.

24. RECORDS AND RECORDS MANAGEMENT

The organisation SHALL establish, implement and maintain procedures for the identification, maintenance and disposition of WHS records, as we as the results of audits and reviews. WHS records SHALL be legible, identifiable and traceable to the activity, product or service involved. WHS records SHALL be stored and maintained in such a way that they are readily retrievable and protected against damage, deterioration or loss. Their retention times SHALL be established and recorded. Records SHALL be maintained, as appropriate to the system and to the organisation, to demonstrate conformance to the requirements of this Standard.

WORK, HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT PLAN (WHSEMP) AUDIT The organisation SHALL establish, implement and maintain an audit program and procedures for periodic WHSMP audits to be carried out by a competent person, in order to:

Determine whether the WHSMP:

Conforms to planned arrangements for WHS management including the requirements of this Standard

Has been properly implemented and maintained, and

Is effective in meeting the organisation’s policy as well as objectives and targets for continual WHS improvement, and
