    Financial Education participants paid $207,897 in debt

    Financial Education participants saved $71,733 for the future

    HEALTHImproving People’s Healthand Well-Being Area residents saved $137,919 on 6,233 medications

    3,302 unduplicated patients served by 4,844 dental and physician visits

    364 individuals were provided with mental health and support group sessions

    Adult Education, American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts – Overland Trails Council, Central Nebraska Community Services, Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism & Addictions, Crisis Center, Friendship House, Girl Scouts – Spirit of Nebraska, Heartland CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates), Hope Harbor, Lutheran Family Services, Multicultural Coalition, Third City Community Clinic, YMCA and YWCA.

    heartland United Way’s mission is achieved through advocacy, leadership and support for non-profit organizations to help individuals and families

    gain access to educational, economic and health opportunities. In the last year, to creatively and

    responsibly address our impact areas of education, income and health, the United Way

    HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

    • 1,854 children served for Toys for Tots• 76 families received help in the Adopt-A-Family Program• 24 food baskets were donated by Global Industries MFS/York/Stormor

    HUSKER HARVEST DAYS

    • 12,860 pounds of food collected• 47 FFA groups participated

    MOO-CLAW FUNDRAISER

    • Mooved the party to the patio• 430 guests attended at Riverside Golf Club

    NEBRASKA STATE FAIR ICE CREAM PARLOR

    • 952 volunteer hours• Ranked #4 out of 60 food vendors

    TOUR OF AGENCIES

    • One Charter Bus Generously donated by First Holiday Tour & Travel.

    • 16 agencies toured• 100 participants

    • Partnered with GICF to raise over $252,000 for local non-profit organizations
