I PITCH I CASTING: "The Plucky Comic Relief" - Brent's ability to induce a smile and a laugh to any situation is his greatest strength as an actor. He specializes in playing unabashed oddball characters that are always guaranteed to bring the hilarity-from snarky to outright silly. In film think Zach Galafanakis' Alan (The Hangover), Ben Stiller's Greg Focker (Meet the Parents, Fockers) or Oliver Platt's Porthos (The Three Musketeers).ln television he's Doug Hefferman (King of Queens) or Ron Swanson (Parks and Rec). For leading roles he is perfect as the "wacky / confident fool" a la Jack Black in "School of Rock" or Brent is never afraid to ham it up- but also has a knack for bringing heart to these "wild and crazy guys" he creates.
IABOUTI Brent Pope is a Filipino-American actor, writer, and is heavily involved in the Los Angeles comedy scene, performing stand up, sketch and improv comedy all over the city. He has also lent his talents to prestigious festivals including The San Francisco Sketchfest, The Los Angeles Im prov Comedy Festival, and The New York Television Festival.Brent trained in improv comedy at both The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade theaters, and is also a cast member of the long-running topical sketch show Top Story Weekly at iO West. He is a creator and star of the award-winning episodic comedy series Common Beauties and co-host of the popular comedy/sports podcast Ray's n' Brent Pod cast.
FUN FACT: Brent was at one time the #2 Liar's Dice player in the world on XBOX, playing under his gamertag of Hulagin Felix.
