On February 20 and 21, Grace Church is joining with thousands of volunteers from the greater Naperville, all working together to pack meals in a unique assembly line fashion, to help feed thousands of malnourished children around the world. You can help by signing up for a shift and donating to Grace’s Feed My Starving Children fundraising efforts. For more information, stop by the Activity Center after worship today.

Ash Wednesday (February 10) is the beginning of Lent. Grace Church moves into this season of deep discipline and reverence with two worship services. The first is 4:45 p.m. and features our Children’s Choirs. The second is at 7:30 p.m. and features the Grace Chancel Choir. Imposition of ashes will be offered at both services, while Communion will only be celebrated at the latter service.

Lent Begins Wednesday

Lent is a 40-day season focused on simplicity, prayer, and fasting in order to grow closer to God, and journey with Jesus to the cross.

Open Doors Ministry Embraces Special Gifts

Get excited about Side-by-Side (grade 9 through college and adults) and Hope@Home (going into grade 6 through college and adults), Grace’s two youth summer missions trips! Come to a kick-off meeting on Sunday, February 21, 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Adults and youth in grade 6 through college are welcome to attend. Friends from the community are welcome too, so spread the word about youth missions at Grace Church!

Youth Summer Missions Kick-Off Event• The women of Priscilla Circle will meet on Tuesday, February 16, 7 p.m. in the home of Teri Heyson. Ron Wills will speak about a school program for children with spe-cial needs.

Now is the time for children in K-7th grade to join the Grace Children’s Choir Ministry, because on May 13 and 15, they’ll be presenting their spring musical, Life of the Party: The Story of Mary and Martha!

Rehearsals and auditions (grades 4-7) begin with the wildly popular “Lock-In” on March 4-5. Children in grades K-3 can participate simply by attending the opening Kick-Off Party on March 4 and Sunday afternoon rehearsals as posted at right. Children in grades 4-7 need to add Wednesday evening rehearsals as well, beginning February 17.
